Yvette Frontany was born and raised in Chicago.

As a young girl she watched her mom style wigs and sew gowns for an exclusive clientele.

She was inspired by her mother she began to dream and tap into her own creativity and the spark was ignited within.

It was at the age of 7 when she performed her first makeover on one of her friend. As the story goes, the young girl had beautiful long hair that was cut into a short bob with a heavy fringe.

The friends mother was mortified, and sobbed hysterically. Meanwhile, Yvette's mother did everything in her to hide a mothers pride, as she consoled the friends mother.

Yvette's career was launched that very moment and she's never looked back.

Currently, Yvette has a salon in one of Chicago's most vibrant neighborhoods, Lincoln park.

She has traveled throughout the United States and internationally sharing and teaching her passion for hair color.

With a highly diverse clientele she has become quite the expert on all hair types.

Originally , this term was used to refer to something from the past that would bring back memories of those time. However that reference has been skewed in the Hair Color business and now many times is used to discount , downplay , or diminish some of the procedures of the past.

The problem is that the one thing that has not changed at all is the very structure we work with everyday . The hair !

It’s still a physical , visual , and chemical structure comprised of :

Carbon , Oxygen , Hydrogen , Nitrogen , and Sulfur.

In this episode we will discuss some “social media” comments that attempt to diminish the filling or pre-pigmentizing procedure and dare to declare that filling un-even hair strands is unnecessary in todays world of hair color.

This , of course is nonsense !

Ask yourself , how many times have you had a color result develop unevenly or develop darker than you expected ?
