Stabbed, shot, blown up, Helen served with the London Met Police and became the first mother to serve with SO19 - the Met's infamous firearms unit, and only the third ever female to do so, also being awarded a Queen's Commendation for Brave Conduct.

Helen was subsequently medically discharged with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She has since found comfort among the veteran community via Rock2Recovery and Hidden Valley Bushcraft.
