after four years of never missing a Thursday, Halley and Jaz are taking their first ever summer break… and honestly, this episode feels exactly like hanging out with them one last time before everyone disappears for the season. Halley's Hampton's house is finally done, her she-shed is getting turned into a backyard bar (Reed wants to call it Bar Dog, which makes complete sense), and she had a bridal hair trial where she basically had to beg her stylist to make her look messier. all very Halley Kate Core.

from there it goes where it always goes… which is everywhere. they get into childhood fears (quicksand vs. tornadoes, and a very traumatic first day of second grade), the anxiety of being drunk around influencers you don't know that well, whether a bridge collapse or a tunnel flood is technically more survivable, revisiting their most anxiety-inducing drunk moments (cracking a chin open, peeing on a street in Barcelona, and persistently offering your apartment to someone who very much did not want it); spiraling into Kendall Jenner's dating life and whether Timothée and Travis Scott have ever had a real conversation; and unearthing the most painfully cringe middle school relationship moments, including a boyfriend whose text signature read "dash I love Halley" after approximately five days of dating.

in classic Delusional Diaries fashion, the girls are going out with a bang before the summer break... funny and a little sentimental, the way the best episodes always are. they'll be back in the fall with some changes… newsletter and Patreon in the meantime, but for now, h.a.g.s.
