Take a deep breath and take in the vibes. In today's episode I'm talking to two international poets about how they began a spoken word poets and how they use the oral traditions of poetry in a Caribbean context. They talk about how their journey drew from the traditions forged by African ancestors, Alan Vogel or an fables as well as the meditative nature of telling their true story through spoken word poetry.

Don't forget to take a deep breath. Tune in and take a breath. Allow the breath to fill you and remind you that you are part of the energy around you and the energy around you is part of you. This is to say that sitting with yourself and taking the breath allows you to see and understand where you are without the frustration of wanting to be somewhere else, this moment is yours.

Don't forget to take a deep breath. Take time to be thankful for all of what is going right in your life, and the lessons learned from what has gone wrong. Having an attitude of gratitude is not only essential for mindfulness and well-being but it will keep a spirit of relaxation around you and increase the level of appreciation to and from those you hold dear. And if you can find nothing else to be thankful for today be thankful for the breath.

Don't forget to take a deep breath. Take time to harmonize with the music of nature. It is in that music we find that our actions, needs, and actions and wants all play a small part in the collective bigger picture. The harmonies and vibrations of everything around you work to sing a song here the water feel the wind and release the breath.

Take a deep breath and take in the vibes. In the vibes series we are talking about poets about how poetry has changed their mindset, their writing process, poetry and meditation. Today our topic is finding your voice. Finding your voice is always a process wether you are a new or experienced poet. My guest Nima Shams and I are talking about finding your voice in poetry and when you find it how to harness its power to speak the intuitive language of poetry.

Don't forget to take a deep breath. Water is the most essential elements of life and because it is is essential to our lives. Our bodies are mostly made of water and the special connection with water is felt throughout in the natural environment. The focus on water is a focus on the natural vibration of the peace that flows throughout all living things.
