These segments always provide a gold mine for audio. Jack plays for Fro and Nate a recent installment from the All Gas No Brakes channel on YouTube. Host Andrew Callaghan attends a Proud Boys rally in Portland, Oregon. It goes about as well as one should expect.
(As Fro points out, it takes an hour to go through a seven-minute long YouTube video…)
This segment stars with Fro ranting about “flat Earthers” and the cult known as Scientology. Jack has no idea that John Travolta is among the Hollywood crazies who believe in this malarkey. Jack also has no idea why anyone – famous or not – would live in the Hollywood hills.
Moving on, Jack asks if anyone has watched the Animaniacs reboot on Hulu. Discussing segments from the show’s original run leads Fro to tell a story involving his bicycle and a crazy kid in his neighborhood, which nearly kills Jack in laughter. “Is it hot in here, or is it just me?”
Concluding this episode, Jack presents two stories for “How Fucking Dumb Are You?” The band Trapt continues to exist, this time getting their Facebook account deleted for a Proud Boys-related post. In keeping with this podcast’s theme of never staying on-topic, this segues into Jack discussing ridiculously long song and album titles.
Elsewhere, in Russia, Darwinism strikes again as local buffoons end up in hospital for drinking hand sanitizer. Fro goes off about hand sanitizer, bringing this episode to a riveting end. On that note, subscribe to Nate’s channel on YouTube, and wear a damn face mask!
Part One: What Is “Sadness?”
Welcome to what’s sure to be a crazy episode of Hardly Focused! Jack, Mike, and Nate here, covering the news and then some. Find Hardly Focused on your favorite podcast app, YouTube, and all the social medias!
Shortly before recording this episode, the news broke of the passing of long-time Jeopardy host, Alex Trebek. Jack notes the oddity of Trebek passing only a week after Sir Sean Connery – thanks, Saturday Night Live! At 80 years old, Trebek lived a long life full of achievements. He will be missed.
Part Two: President Joseph R. Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris
The 2020 Presidential Election is finally over, and former Vice President Joe Biden takes the win. With Biden and running mate Kamala “Momala” Harris taking charge, perhaps America can finally be made great again. Jack, Mike and Nate discuss how reassuring it is to hear both Harris and Biden give optimistic victory speeches as leaders, a rarity in this day and age.
Don’t forget, Hardly Focused-branded shirts, stickers, and face masks are available to purchase from the Hardly Focused store!
Part Three: Donald Trump is a Sore Loser
Before recording this episode, a rare earthquake struck Massachusetts. Jack felt it; Mike didn’t. At this point, why be surprised by anything 2020 brings?
Jack, Mike and Nate discuss how President Ronald Thump is handling his loss in the Presidential Election. If you ask Thump, he won, and the election was afflicted by fraud. The crew anticipates the President will not vacate the White House without a fight.
It’s not all negative. The Four Seasons Total Landscaping company in Philadelphia is sure to see a surge in business thanks to the Trump campaign.

Part One: Suck It, Trebek
Welcome to another installment of Hardly Focused! Acc, Jack, and Nate with you in the days leading up to the union’s Election Day. It’s also the day after Halloween, meaning Nate can enjoy candy without needing to take off the wrapper.
The world mourns the loss of actor Sean Connery. Jack argues that, having passed at age 90, Sir Sean lived a full life. Acc reveals to the room that Connery’s final acting credit is an animated film called “Sir Billi,” the quality of which Jack equates to commercials for The General.
Elsewhere, as the nostalgia train keeps chugging, a reboot of Tiny Toon Adventures is on the horizon. Animaniacs is great and all, but Jack prefers Tiny Toons over the Warner brothers (and sister Dot.) That doesn’t mean most millennials don’t have a Pavlovian response to hearing the opening notes of the Tiny Toons theme song.
Have you purchased a Hardly Focused shirt yet? No? Get on that! Get shirts, stickers, and face masks at the Hardly Focused store.
Part Two: Election Day
It’s certainly a time to be an American. Election Day is around the corner, and it’s arguably the most important election in the union’s history. Here’s to hoping Nate can get his mail-in ballot sorted in time!
Acc, Jack, and Nate discuss the upcoming election, and how it meshes with the pandemic and general civil unrest. Jack fears that, no matter the outcome, further unrest is likely to occur. But hey, at least Trump can list on his accomplishments that he ended the pandemic, right? Oh, wait.

Part One: Candlepin or Bust!
Jack, Mike, and Nate here for this installment of Hardly Focused! Don’t forget, this fine program can be heard on ALL the podcast apps – Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more. Just search for “Hardly Focused!”
To the shock of everyone in the studio, prior to recording Jack was watching the Denver Broncos crush the New England Patriots. Jack admits the only sport he’s into is bowling. This leads Jack and Mike to discuss candlepin bowling, a type of bowling found largely in New England.
Hey Boston-folk – remember Candlepin Bowling on Channel 5? Saturday mornings used to be great.
Part Two: Mike the Doomscroller
Election Day in the union is just weeks away! Jack fires off this segment by discussing the “new” episode of the West Wing, which is filled with “get out and vote” messaging. Find “A West Wing Special to Benefit When We All Vote” on HBO Max!
On that note, the group discusses the recent, rivalling Town Halls between Grandpa Joe Biden and Premier Ronald Thump. They speculate Tramp is fuming over losing the ratings battle to Biden, despite having his Town Hall broadcast on three networks. Our “president” also fails at trolling his Twitter followers.
Meanwhile, Mike schools the room on “doom scrolling.” Don’t know what that is? During this heavily political climate, simply open Twitter or Facebook and scroll – boom, doom scrolling.
Part Three: Air Drums and Headphones
Jack begins this segment with the intention of shifting gears away from politics. Heading to Baton Rogue, a man is facing obscenity charges after being caught masturbating in his truck. His defense? “Air drumming.”
Appropriately, this topic leads Jack to divulge the awkward first time he bought condoms. Nate also has an awkward “first time buying” story, and it has absolutely nothing to do with sex. Nate = 1, Jack = 0.
Wrapping up this episode, Jack features audio of Paulette Dale, the woman who complimented Danny Tramp’s smile during his Town Hall. Shockingly, despite her compliments, Dale is voting for Biden in this election. Mike hypothesizes that she tried to troll him, and botched the delivery.
Back up in your ass with the resurrection.
