After 20 years one of the region's hottest bands of the 80's was been back in the studio and have released a new CD with 9 original tracks.

The Newz new CD is titled "Life of Crime" and a release party will be held at the Aquarium in Fargo on June 6th. 

Gordon Christensen and Brad Kittleson joined us to talk of the good old days at the Gaslight, Sunset Lounge and the Zodiac in Moorhead. Plus all their travels in the upper midwest.

Jon Stan Nyborg is the 3rd member of the band and that's him featured on the CD cover.

We also find out the great story behind the "z" in the name!

We heard a couple of cuts from "Life of Crime" and it is going to knock your socks off.

One of the region's most notable musicians has found a way to help her and her fans make it through the nervous times of the coronavirus pandemic.

She has taken to her guitar and performed for her followers on Facebook.

Diane has often times performed a song or two...but these specials shows at times have lasted more than and hour, plus she often takes requests for those checking in on her  page.

She plans on more shows and other musicians are getting ready to do their own soon.

Despite the Coronavirus, the portrait of the young climate activist Greta Thunberg will go on display in Fargo this week.

Wet-plate photographer Shane Balkowitsch joined NTL to mention there will be no ceremony at this time.

Because of the cancellation of the Fargo Film Festival he hopes the documentary "Balkowitsch" will be screened at a future date at the Fargo Theatre.

Shane also mentions the support and the negative actions he's seen since this project was put got the go ahead.

It's the third annual 3rd Annual Shop Swap and Sell guitar show this Sunday at the TAK Music Venu in Dilworth.

Ex-Director of the theatre Emily Beck gives us another update on the events including Saturday morning cartoon session with a Q and !. The sounds of the  Criterion Collection with Ryan Hullings, the documentary "Balkowitsch", the screening of "International Falls", this years award winners and more.

J.J. Gordon of KFGO's " It Takes 2" along with Bill Lucas join me to chat about the play "Flanagan's Wake" the long running scripted and improv show from Chicago.

Those who attend will be given name badges with an Irish twist to it. The will be portions of the show where audience members maybe involved in the story line.

Not only is this a special dinner theater but it's also a fundraiser to help out the FMCT during this tough time with their building problems.

Roger Corman alumni, Beverly Gray joins Scotch and Bob Harris to talk about Roger Corman, Dick Miller, Slumber Party Massacre 3,  and Ron Howard, among other things.

After completing her doctorate in Contemporary American Fiction, Beverly Gray worked for the legendary Roger Corman. At New World Pictures she edited scripts, wrote publicity materials, cast voice actors, and did just a little bit of everything. Later, she spent eight years at Concorde-New Horizon as Corman's story editor and development expert, overseeing the production of well over 150 low-budget movies. Beverly runs the blog Beverly in Movieland and has written books on Ron Howard, The Graduate and an unauthorized biography of Corman titled "Blood Sucking Vampires, Flesh Eating Cockroaches and Driller Killers."

She spent over a half hour talking with Scotch and Bob Harris, sharing great stories and revealing insights into the making of some of the great cult classics. Have a listen. We'll definitely be hearing more from Beverly on future episodes of the B-Movie Bonanza podcast.

It was on the air a little earlier Thursday night but it was nothing but fun and informative. Dr. Derine Winning was in for the March edition of Nighttime Live's edition of "The Vet Is In".

Some of the topics Dr. Winning talked about is the growing concern about coronavirus. 

We had a number of great question via phone and texts. Should I brush my dogs teeth or iare"cleaning treats" enough? Should our family get a second dog, a companion for an older one? Why does my dog lick the arms of my easy chair and nothing else? One of my dogs past away and now the other refuses to eat, what do I do?

Some owners don't recognize their pets are getting older because of the day to day association. But watch for weight loss, change in coat, mobility problems.

Can you use "Essential Oils" around or on my pet? Remember that pets have a keen sense of smell. Could any oils harm them?

Paulee even get to ask about one of  his newest members of the family.

Dr. Winning also mention she will be soon touring the Purina Pet Food factory in St. Louis and maybe in April we'll get a report of her visit.

Great to have back on Nighttime Live Rodeo Announcer Tim Fuller who's voice will be ringing throughout the Fargodome on March 20th and 21st. 7:30 each night.

Tim tells us the Mossbrucker Rodeo Group of ND has produced another great herd of livestock for the event with some very talented cowboys vying for points to head for the big one in Las Vegas.
