After Blockbuster Video shut their doors in Alaska, the Bend Oregon store became the last one in the United States,

Now Perth Australia will be closing their stores at the end of the month, and Bend will be the last Blockbuster in the world.

This years festival artwork!

The art of bird photography can be difficult for some, but for Lisa, she has taken some of the most beautiful shots of our fine feathered friends.

Lisa is originally from Germany and a bird lover much of her life. She is now living in Michigan, where she has produced some of these photos.

With the help of what is called a Bird Photo Booth, she has been able to bring in numerous species into her backyard (and other areas).

As you'll see in these photos she also has become an expert on various items to put in the feeder to attract the different breeds.

The camera is operated on a motion sensor and has taken as many at 10,000 pictures in one day.....and she may find only two to post.

It's a great conversation and I hope you'll share this podcast with all your bird loving friends.

We went back to New Orleans as Mardi Gras starts to wrap up as Fat Tuesday is here!

MeLissa Kossick Anderson, former host of KFGO's Metro Arts Scene, gives us a great description of the activities, all the different Krewes, and she even has some of the parades pass right by her front door.

What are these bead things anyway? She tells us the story behind them with some of them having special meaning to people who attend. Some are now biodegradable, and some you'll be able to plant in your backyard.

She left right after the interview for the Krewe of Orpheus, Harry Connick Jr.'s parade.
