Street Fighter the movie kicks off a month of video game moves we are watching. As you can expect this is not great but at the same time the movie has some fun humor and is not charmless.  It's just some b-movie silliness and for that we thank the movie makers.

Hate Watching is a show about the movies in the sense that we watch moves and talk about them.

What is time?  Is it a construct? Or is it real?  I can't tell.  I can tell you that for me it only goes in one direction.  Time just keeps plodding along.  I know at some point it is gonna catch up to me and kick my ass. Shaq is one of the greatest basketball players of all time but when it comes to acting, there is much to be desired.  That aside, Kazaam is a middling kids movie with a few fun gags and plenty of Shaq aping to the camera.  There is also some of Shaq's rapping, the less said bout that the better.

Hate Watching is a show about movies, for the movies and containing movies.

Have you ever had one of those days.   When nothing is quite right.  You've got a headache and you can't get the world to fit together. Is Hook a heart warming tale of childhood lost or a lazy bloated Hollywood mess?.  Well Tony has one opinion and Dan has the right opinion.  So lets go see Bob Hoskins grab a fat paycheck and Robin Williams in tights (thanks but no thanks) and even Julia Roberts in a role where everyone had to have asked "Who's casting idea was this?" (Oh yeah and Tony based his whole life on this movie)

Fantastic Planet could have only been made int he 1970's.  It's weird, trippy, kind of boring and probably best experienced when you are not fully in your own mind.  Well we watched it with out the aid of pharmaceuticals and it's not really great aside from the visuals. It upset Tony because he is sad.

What is normal?  That is a question that is impossible to answer for anything viewed through the personal lens is immediately subjected to the subjectivity of the viewer.  In a sense the viewer constructs reality in the act of viewing reality. So there can never really be consensus when it comes to decking what normal it. So if there is no normal, then we should all get busy being weird because weird is where it is at.  The more minds that get blown the better, for a blown mind is the best mind of all.  Screw normality.

E.T., a movie that lives in the hearts of a generation. If you saw it as a kid, you fell in love with it.  If you watch it now as an adult, you ask what the hell is going on in this movie.  They never made a second one and I can only imagine what a mess that would have been.  So enjoy as we make fun of E.T. and if you love this movie, it is not our problem. 

Hate Watching is a show that runs too long with lots of useless opinions about movies that came out in the past.

What does life owe us?  Nothing is probably the right answer.  We should be happy for the little things.  A fresh piece of fruit.  The laugh of a baby.  The attention of a dog. But instead we get caught up wanting more and more.  Enough is never enough.  I want it all.  Until hopefully we realize that a single piece of fruit is enough. At least for now.  At least until it is dinner time.....

Artemis Fowl is a movie that was forgotten the minute after it came out.  The Percy Jackson movies look like Citizen Kane compared to this movie.  It is a movie that has a villain who barely appears in the film.  The kid is annoying and Josh Gad's accent is the most painful thing in the world.  So you can guess how we felt about it. 

Hate Watching is a show where two less than appealing men talk about odious movies.

Was thinking about MySpace today.  I still have a tab on my computer for my old MySpace page.  I loved MySpace, you could set it up however you wanted within their weird page layout.  Post images and connect with people. Then their interface got older and Facebook came along and MySpace didn't update with the times and then it was dead.  They have tried to revive the corpse but that has not worked.  And now we are stuck with all the issues of Facebook, which in turn will get killed by some other platform.  And that is the way of life, each stronger platform comes, kills off the weaker ones until a stronger platform kills it and takes supremacy.  Just like us all.  Waiting for age to take us down. The reaper is just waiting around the corner. But MySpace was fun.

Tenet is a movie that likes to think it is smart when really it is just a big mess. It's basically an Easter egg with nothing at the center, a hallow exercise in excess. Maybe next time give Christopher Nolan even more money and get an even bigger waste of time.

Well my fidget cube showed up in the mail.  It came from China and it took about 4 months.  To say I am happy is an understatement, I'm overjoyed.  I can just sit and fidget and fidget and fidget.  Shouldn't I be doing some work.  Nah.  It's a pandemic, better to spend my final time on this planet fidgeting.  It's the one thing I am good at.

Wow.  From the guy who brought you a couple good X-men movies is this movie. What happened?  Who said yes to this mess?  "None of it makes any sense to me" says Tony and boy is he right. Maybe the worst movie we have watched.

Chewing Gum.  There I said it.  What is it?  Something to do with your mouth instead of talking. A way to deliver flavor and then eventually becoming a disappointing chore for your mouth.  Some with sugar, some without.  Maybe it is really just the compulsive nature of the human animal in product form.  Not unlike the fidget cube.  I ordered a fidget cube off eBay and it never came.  I still think about it not coming but haven't taken the time to order a new one.  I should but I haven't.  That is what being a human is.

R.I.P.D. is a comic book movie, in that Hollywood bought a comic book idea and then changed it to try to be like another Hollywood comic movie that was a success (Men in Black). In doing this, they made a garbage movie.  They had pre-Deadpool Ryan Reynolds and screwed that up. All said this is a perfect movie to start out our month of Schlockbusters, movies that tried to start a franchise and failed.

Hate Watching is a show where 2 guys talk about 1 movie for over an hour.

Remember.  Memory.  In a sense it is all we have. That big stockpile of stuff that sits in our brains.  We access it to help make decisions. Sometimes we don't and we make terrible decisions.  Sometimes those terrible decisions are the right decisions.  Memory. The one thing we sometimes forget is that it is not real.  Some memories are just fabrications or confabulations that our brains have cooked up leading us to think things happened that may have never happened.  The brain, what a crazy mixed up thing.  Glad I have one though.

Marriage.  A sacred bond between two people.  An excuse for two people to live together and have one of them drive the other person crazy.  And yes I do drive my wife crazy. I hide the Kleenex.  I gaslight her by saying that there are jewel thieves living in the attic, you know all that stuff that we always do to the woman they love. But there are the times where she calms me down when there are octopus aliens coming in the windows. Or when my brain is turning to mush on the floor.  That is marriage, putting up with it all and then coming out the other end and ordering Postmates.
