Today’s episode features a short marriage, a suspicious death, a doctor who wrote “everlasting faint” on a death certificate, and a murder trial that took a wild turn. We’re heading to Greenbrier County, West Virginia, where the history is dramatic, the investigation is questionable, and this story somehow ends up involving an exhumation, a courtroom, and a situation that no one saw coming.

For our final episode of the season, we limp our way across the Atlantic to Chillingham Castle, a medieval fortress that spent centuries collecting war trauma like it was a hobby. Sitting on one of the most violently contested borders in British history, this place didn’t need ghosts to become unsettling, the documented history already chose violence.

Our lives have been as chaotic as this location. We mind travel to California (not Tennessee) to talk about the infamous Winchester House. It's massive and confusing floorplan was a strange comfort to your two hosts who have all but lost their minds toward the end of this season. Pop Quiz: What's the Capital of Delaware? It's okay, we didn't know either, and it isn't Delaware City. But that is whereabouts Fort Delaware is with all the ghosts of pirates and soldiers past. It's on an adorably named island but has a rough history. We find out who actually died there, listen to some screaming, and realize Kristen doesn't remember anything about the last 134 episodes. Apparently the spirit of an Native American Princess was trapped there when she was buried in the caves. Now she's begging to get out. Or is she?
