What is biblical prayer? Is it just asking God for what you want like a genie in a bottle?

Is it staying on the defense to make sure you're safe and protected? Or prayer COMMUNION with God? Is it the cosmic setup where God uses US to be in relationship with Him and usher in His will to earth?

In this podcast we discuss the difference between biblical prayer and New Age manifestation, how to hear from heaven and find out the perfect will of God, and then to declare and bring it to earth. God wants our relational participation bringing heaven to earth, giving us divine authority to make this 3D world bend to the Kingdom.

Two years ago when the money was out and the marriage I had fought endlessly for was over, nothing seemed good about it. But 2.5 years later, remarried, restored, thriving and back in my destiny, hindset allows me to see the goodness of God inside all of it.

When the goodness of God is in question, we keep our victim mindset of the situation we're in, instead of seeing how God might be weaving goodness out of something we have judged as 'bad.'

The goodness of God can never come on trial in the life of a beliver. In this 'Just Jesus' hangout, we solidify our theology that God is good -- even when things seem bad.

For many years I believed if trials were happening in my life I was doing something wrong. In the New Age, I thought I needed to do more shadow work and clear my energy. In propserity gospel Christianity, I believed I needed to fight harder by naming and claiming more promises. Both are true to an extent -- but both leave out the necessary importance of how God used the enemy to prepare Jesus for his destiny.

Growing up in Christianity I was always told Christians can't have demons. But my life and experience was very different to that reality, being tormented for years, struggling with addictions depressions, hearing voices that felt dark and oppressive.

No, Christians can't be taken over in possession, but can they have demonic attachments? What does this look like? How can we get free? And what does scripture say about this?

I first came across Kara Seymour (‪@pastaandprayers‬ ) on Instagram, dread locks wrapped in a knot on top of her head, making pasta while sharing boldly how Jesus saved her from 20 years in the New Age Movement.

She went from running Kundalini Yoga Studios, facilitating tantric practices and hosting online goddess communities to finding three women in the back of her car sharing the gospel and giving her answers for everything her heart had ever searched for.

She lives outside Asheville, NC and has gone from goddess women's circles to hosting pasta and prayer nights in her community, as well as facilitating an online community of women seeking answers and longing to find Jesus -- the true source. Her group is for those who already believe in Jesus and also, as she so fondly mentions, is for those who are "Jesus-curious" and have found themselves wanting more from the New Age.
