Overtraining and being incredibly restrictive with your approach to eating is often celebrated as being "disciplined" and "working hard".
But, it can also be symbolic of a deeper rooted issue.
This week on the podcast, I sat down with the incredible Sean Blake. Sean is a Dubliner, husband and father of four children who has had an incredible journey.
Sean is currently in recovery from anorexia nervosa, and features in the RTÉ documentary "Anorexia & My Family".
I sat down with Sean and we covered a LOT:
- Sean's journey & recovery from anorexia
- Signs your relationship with exercise isn't healthy
- Why "discipline" isn't always a good thing
- Turning points in his recovery & what he wishes he knew earlier
And lots more!
This episode contains discussions of eating disorders and mental illness.
