Meredith, a mechanical engineer, business owner, 1stphorm legionnaire, arete accelerator, and bikini competitor. Meredith is well rounded and knows a thing or two about fitness.
I'm excited to dive into this story with Meredith. As always we will get to know her a little, but this interview will have a little twist as we will dive into the sport of bodybuilding and more specifically the bikini division!
We all know that sticking to a diet isn't easy, especially when it comes to staying at home or on vacation.
You've worked so hard to get the progress you've gotten! Don't let it slip away now.
What you want to do is schedule out your meals.
Don't just eat when you feel like it because a lot of times we are just bored. It has nothing to do with actually being hungry.
Also, if you are going to have something sweet, replace that rice in your meal with let's say a brownie.
**Disclaimer**
I'm not saying to always eat like this. ha!
In order to get what you want in life you have to enter "The VAC"
What is the VAC?
It's Visualization, Action, Consistency.
You have to have all 3 in order to accomplish anything.
You can visualize and think about your goal all day long.
You can take action here and there.
BUTTTT......
Without the consistency of action and visualization you will NOT reach your goals.

There are a lot of misconceptions out there to getting toned.
Usually it includes cutting weight and while that may be partially true it's not completely true.
In order to really get toned you have to have muscle!
So how do you get that muscle?
Well it all depends, but the best way to really grow muscle faster and in more specific areas is to do two things!
1. Put your muscle under a lot of tension and time under that tension
2. Focus on hitting specific muscle groups more often instead of doing just full body workouts.
We are the average of the five people we spend the most time with.
- Jim Rohn
This is so true and if you don't think so you need to take a look around you.
If you like the place you're in that's great! If not, then it's time to take a look at your friends.
Most likely they're about the same as you (remember you're the average of them) and in order to "level up" you need to get friends who are further along than you!.
The people you surround yourself with will dictate where you'll be in a year from now. Don't discount the power or detriment of friendship!
If you've been debating on a personal trainer and don't know whether you want to go with an online or in person trainer then listen to this first!!
Dustin and I go through some of the key questions you need to ask before starting to train with someone!

When we focus on what we can't eat and how we can't go out to eat we become miserable.
Our diet seems like such a hassle and we end up stressing out which causes us to retain weight or even gain weight which is the opposite of what we want to do.
So, instead of focusing on the "lack of" in our diet, we need to focus on what we will gain from the diet.
Confidence, better looks, our health, discipline; you name it. You can gain a lot from a diet!
The more you stay focused on what you want the more likely you will get it.
Think about it...How often do you keep thinking about the bad things that could happen and then they do?
Well, that's exactly why! Because you focused on it!!
Just like the Nascar driver focuses on the path in front of him and nothing else, we must focus on our path and nothing else as well!
