Seasonal Affective Disorder, commonly known as Seasonal Depression is a mood disorder that happens every year at the same time.
Most often it starts in the fall/winter and ends in the spring/early summer.
A rare form of seasonal depression begins in late spring/early summer and ends in the fall.
Seasonal Affective Disorder affects approximately 11 million people in the U.S. each year, and 25 million are considered to have a milder version called the ‘winter blues’.
