This unique 1935 series featured dramatizations of how superstitions came about. The creators of the program (TRANSCO Studios) celebrated the fact that each of the explanations were based on meticulously done research. The track features a short introduction and background on the series and then you will hear two back-to-back episodes, one on the superstition of "Three on a Match" and the other on the origins of "The Boogey Man". It all began with crystals of galena and then tubes... vacuum tubes... or "valves" as they were called in Europe. This is a 6 min article direct from a radio hobby magazine from the late 1920's and it is on DXing... what many people did with their radios before there was much programming to listen to.
