Planning a Trip with a Temporary Schedule
In this episode, Christie is back from two weeks away after celebrating her 20-year wedding anniversary in Paris. She shares how planning in advance helped her completely step away from work and enjoy the trip without thinking about everything waiting for her at home.
Preparing for time away meant temporarily changing her normal routine. Christie walks through how she organized what needed to happen in her business, personal life, and for the trip itself, then created a five-week temporary schedule to get it done without trying to cram everything into the last few days.
She also shares the simple guidelines she used to keep those five weeks intentional and energizing, plus the mindset that helped her enjoy the extra effort instead of rushing through it.
And even with lost luggage, extra security checks, an airport shutdown, and an unexpected encounter with agriculture over half a Starbucks sandwich, the preparation paid off. Christie was able to handle what came up and continue enjoying the trip she had planned.
This episode is a practical look at how an intentional temporary schedule can create more freedom before, during, and after your vacation.
