Many parents fear getting their children evaluated—and this makes sense. The fear of labels comes up for many. How will a diagnosis affect a child in their school? Amongst their peers? Or generally in their life? In this episode I invite Dr. Sanaa Mrabet, a licensed psychologists that provides evaluations to children as young as 18 months. She helps us better understand when a child may benefit from getting evaluated, how to go about it, and how to confront parental fears that may arise in the process.
