Full Hour | In today’s third hour, Dom welcomes in famed actor Henry Winkler back onto the Dom Giordano Program ahead of this weekend’s Fan Expo at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, taking place from June 2-4th. First, Dom asks Winkler about his experience playing ‘The Fonz’ on Happy Days, also asking about his amazing acting range exhibited in award-winning HBO series Barry. Then, Winkler tells us about the time in between, where he served as the producer of MacGyver and other great television shows, and his acting renaissance about a decade after being typecast as ‘The Fonz.’ Also, Winkler tells us about his time serving as a camp counselor in Pennsylvania where he learned to water ski, explaining that that experience led to him doing all his own water-skiing in Happy Days, besides the famed “Jump the Shark’ jump, which was performed by a stuntman. Also, Winkler expresses the deep love he holds for his fans, and tells us where to find him and what to expect next in his career.
Then, Dom welcomes in Congressman Jeff Van Drew to the Dom Giordano Program to hear his thoughts on the continued debate on Capitol Hill over the raising of the debt ceiling. Out of the gate, Dom asks the Congressman how he plans to vote, with Van Drew revealing that he’d be a ‘no’ vote, falling in line with Perry from earlier, explaining the negative implications of raising the ceiling and telling of multiple instances of excessive spending over agreed budgets in the past. Also, Van Drew and Giordano discuss Van Drew’s continued strong support of the New Jersey shore, particularly his work in investigating the mass amount of whale and dolphin carcasses washing ashore. Then, Van Drew offers his thoughts on McCarthy’s leadership, and tells whether recent shark sightings have any relation to off-shore windmills, the suspected culprit of the whale and dolphin deaths.
