Full Hour | In today’s second hour, Dom welcomes in Briana V. Whatley, a high school student from down in Florida, onto the Dom Giordano Program after she was denied a fair debate after a judge took offense to her factually referring to former President Donald Trump. Whatley first tells why she wanted to involve herself in her High School’s debate team, explaining that she one day hopes to practice law or even enter into politics herself. Then, Whatley takes us through the day that has now made national headlines, explaining that she was debating the positivity of Trump’s treatment of issues in the Middle East during his presidency when she was knocked a couple points and told not to refer to the former President. Whatley explains the general temperature of the debate scene in today’s hyper-political world, also nothing that pro-Capitalist arguments are automatic losers, as well.
Then, Dom challenges anybody at the Philadelphia Inquirer to a debate after the article glowingly wrote about Josh Shapiro’s shady tactic last week in Harrisburg centered on the budget. Dom recalls what happens, reminding listeners about Shapiro’s bait-and-switch with the topic of school choice, telling that the Governor will line-item veto the installation of lifeline scholarships, which he openly supported on the campaign trail.
