His book The Characters of Christmas was a game-changer for me in having a fresh look at The Christmas story by seeing how all the minor characters played a part in Jesus’ birth.

The Christmas season always feels so busy and it’s easy to forget how beautiful and miraculous the Christmas story is. Jesus, the Son of God and Savior of the world, was born to very normal, unlikely people. God is using ordinary people to do great things in the world, and ordinary people have both joy and sorrow. We can bring it all to Him.
