Kundalini Yoga is a technology used to bring healing, love and ownership to those who practice. These teachings empower us to step into the depths of our awareness and help us to see, heal and unite all parts of ourselves.

In all the Hidden Pearls Studio classes where I reference "my teacher," I am referring to Kirn Khalsa. It has been 7 years since our Kundalini Yoga teacher training, and I am so excited and grateful to finally be sharing her story on Hidden Pearls. 

In this episode, we get into what Kundalini Yoga is, how and why we both fell in love with the practice, and how Kundalini has changed the course of our lives on and off the mat. While there is so much love and magic within the Kundalini community, there have been some heavy moments that need to be expressed.

Nothing says welcome to the 2024 NFL season like a sit down with George Kittle as he is in week two of the Niners training camp. Join us for a lively and fun discussion of where things are at. George and I review a bit of the summer from OTA’s through TE University, Kittle fest, and then him wrapping up his off-season training. 

We get into a little bit of his core surgery and the recovery he has gone through that is attached to that surgery and some of the difficulties presented with it. We review some of the position groups with the Niners as well as how competition is going and look briefly (I mean very briefly) toward the season ahead.

 It’s exciting to have football back in the air literally and we’re looking forward to another exciting, fun, and thrill-filled  experience with the Niners as they seek again the title for the West, another NFC championship, and more. Please enjoy!!

Happy Thursday Hidden Pearls Podcast!!

​As you know, movement, meditation and mindfulness are huge parts of our lives. It weaves through the work we do, the relationships we build, and if you've watched Receiver on Netflix, you’ll see how it weaves through the football we play and love. 

​The yoga journey for the Kittle crew began in Iowa City Iowa, at what we still view as our home yoga studio, Hot House Yoga. The architect, principal guide, and leader in all things yoga for us​, was and has always been, Maureen Mondanaro.

In this episode we get into what Emma & Bruce were like in their early days on the mat, what it was like opening the FIRST hot yoga studio in the state of Iowa, the importance of always remaining a student, and how to move gracefully through the transitions of life. 

While we haven't shared a studio in a few years, Maureen is still a big part of our lives as a friend and mentor. We are so excited and grateful to have her join us as part of our Women of Yoga series. 

This week we are making a donation in Maureen's name to support an Iowa City School in need - Mark Twain Elementary.
