This week we meet up with Scott Ayotte from the ground breaking rock band BORN WITHOUT BONES out of Milford, MA. Scott has taken a very personal approach to his song writing, as he writes from a dairy of experiences and circumstances. Scott's travel through the musical hemisphere has provided him with the opportunity to perform with and for some of his greatest influences. Scott is not bashful in his discussion with me about his life and the music that he surrounds himself with. With many new and exciting things happening for Scott and the band, it was a great chance to bring their talents to the forefront. Join Scott and I as we do not "Shy" away from discussing "Romance" and "What I Was Missing."

This week I meet up with JOSHUA HYSLOP, the masterful Canadian Alt Folk rocker. Joshua's journey has brought him all over the world honing his craft. Being a new kid in a new country can lead to some disastrous habits. Joshua took that long road down and pulled himself up while learning to play guitar in the new country he found himself wandering. The peaceful sound in Joshua's voice is subtle yet powerful and the music he creates is like a shooting star  you make a wish upon, its hopeful and bright. Join us as we take a journey together "Behind The Light" of some burning "Embers" for "Something More!"

This week I catch up with Chris Newhard & Stephen Morrell of the formative new band SLEEP CYCLES.  I know that when it comes to finding new music to be passionate about, it can be hard. Sleep Cycles make that choice a whole lot easier. With a line up that I can only explain as a Super Group, their resumes do not disappoint. Chris Newhard and Chris Poulsen met while playing in the Philly based band Promise of Redemption. Poulsen’s resume also includes Tokyo Rose, The Color Fred and Secondhand Serenade. Stephen Morrell, former lead guitarist for Philadelphia-based pop-punk band An Honest Year  soon joined on and then brought in his old band mate Greg Pinney to round out the melodic thrashing rock band we now know as SLEEP CYCLES.  The colboaritive effort it took to pull this all together is a fun and at times spit out your beer funny. Join us on our banter filled journey and find out the name of Chris, Stephen and I, super group name. Sleep Cycles has all the "Remedies" for those annoying moments that "Blister", "Come On And Say It" with me! Go out and listen to Sleep Cycles and have a great F^ckin' time!!!

On this week's episode I welcome Connor James of the Canadian Alt Rock band JUNE BODY. When it comes to interviews, some may be a “chess match” and others are filled with “heartfeltedness” (not a word), you get to choose which kind of interview this was. Connor and I had a great time discussing his life in music and what keeps him going. Connor’s description of a misstep on an album during a recording and release, are a noteworthy moment worth celebrating. It is with this attitude that Connor shies away from being a perfectionist and simply being human. Remember, we are “Never Here Long” so be the “Brightness” in someones day, for one day we may all be “Ashes.”

This week I sit down with Hunter Weeks of the melodic bone crushing hardcore band LOVE IS RED. Hunter and I discuss the band, life, and his mantra of “you never get what you don’t ask for.” I had the great pleasure of meeting Hunter at FURNACE FEST this year in Alabama. I was amazed watching LOVE IS RED own the stage and perform with so much exuberent passion, that Hunter's son danced around to the hardcore tones that reverberated throughout the atmosphere. LOVE IS RED has had their ups and downs, but they come back with honesty and conviction in their music. Hunter's ability to tell his story and call out those that helped along the way make this a must listen to all that know Hunter and LOVE IS RED. If you don't "Keep Moving"  and keep listening the "Darkness Is Waiting" to drag you to your "Shallow Graves!"

This week I meet up with PHANTOM HANDSHAKES, the exquisite dream pop band comprised of Matt Sklar and Federica Tassano. What do two creative people do while separated from their bands during a pandemic, create a new one by way of craigslist. The whimsical tones created by PHANTOM HANDSHAKES  harkens back to the simpler times when brilliant convergence was celebrated. The masterful sound hitting your ears like a light rainfall on a roof is the ghostly essence of PHANTOM HANDSHAKES music. Music comes in many different forms from many different places, but one things for sure, Federica and Matt make the sound for all souls. There's "No Better Plan" than to head "For The Hills" and take some time to listen to this episode and the hear the "Cricket Songs."

This week we meet up with talented singer songwriter CHARLIE BRENNAN. There is something to be said about sibling rivalry, it can not only break, but it can also bond. Using the tools that were around, Charlie started creating music at a young age. The poignant moments that led to Charlie's realization that his future could be filled with music need to be heard. The balance and understanding of Charlie's songwriting can be summed up as emotionally rewarding. "I Know You Won't" sit on the "Sidelines" this week, when you have this "Lovely Escape" of a conversation to listen to.

This week I meet up with TJ and Trevor from NORTHERN HANDS, the vibrant indie rock band from Manchester, NH. Its amazing how the world spins like a record and leads to cool people at every rotation. I was in a kool dark speakeasy late one night and struck up a conversation about music with a really cool person. That person was TJ!!! After some great back and forth, he went on to tell me about a band he was in. TJ then played his music over the PA at the bar without me knowing and the rest is history. Join me in welcoming TJ and Trevor to the show, as we discuss the formation of the band and how music has played a role in their lives. This week we catch up with Dominick Fox of the Brooklyn based band BAD LUCK. There's not many people I come across that say "I knew right away that music would be my life," but Dominick is one of those people. Dominick and his brother Joe went the route of Rock 'N' Wrestling and coming up with their first band name in Walgreens. Dominick has a way with story telling, that keeps you the listener involved, not just on the show but within the songs he writes. The tape never breaks for Dominick and Bad Luck, if you are constantly trying to be better, you need to keep moving the finish line. There's no "Required Thinking" in this weeks episode, that's just the "Way It Goes" when "The Plan Is No Plan."
