  • Ep 156 – Gender, I Hardly Know Her

Laird Leatherman Craig, our special guest, returns to join us in exploring what it means to exist as non-binary individuals in spaces traditionally defined by gender. We’re also joined by Haydan from Eagle Leather and Melbourne Rubber for this insightful conversation.

During our discussion, we delve into topics such as cis-presenting privilege within our transgender community, the vital aspect of radical visibility, and the implications of gendered titles like ‘LeatherMAN’ for individuals who don’t align with traditional gender identities.

Our conversation extends to the efforts made by some of our communities to create more inclusive spaces for non-binary individuals. We also reflect on the necessity of recognizing our own limitations, biases, and comfort levels when navigating gender-segregated environments, whether it’s dance parties, sex parties, or venues.

In addition, we have an exciting announcement from Melbourne Rubber, exclusively for our podcast listeners!

Regarding Episode 155, we encountered technical issues while recording our discussion with Jasper about Vac Play and restrictive bondage play. Unfortunately, the audio became corrupted due to gremlins in our sound desk. Rest assured, we are actively working on re-recording that episode with Jasper and plan to release it soon!

This past weekend Mr Australian Leather 2023 Shane @leatherman_shane hosted the Title Holder Q &A Panel at the Laird Hotel. The event aimed to  dispel myths and misconceptions about running for a title in our local community – and to impart some wisdom from current and former title holders to the next generation.

Ms Melbourne Rubber 2022 Delsi @delsicat

Thanks to the Laird Hotel for hosting this event, and for letting us tap into their AV system!

The event also hosted a raffle and auction, which the team from Hanky took out – securing the denim vest owned by Patrick Brookes which he wore when he won  IML –  becoming the first and only male Australian International Mr Leather in 1980. Huge shout out to the Hanky team for raising $4100 for the David Williams Fund!

  • Ep 151 – You’re A Big Boy Now (Body Dysmorphia Series Part 1)

Body dysmorphia affects queer men in nuanced ways, and while we can’t unpack every single element – we’re going to give it our best shot! Some guys experience body dysmorphia through muscle dysmorphia – sometimes called ‘bigorexia’ where the adoration of bigger bodies can become more than a erotic fascination, but a driver in how we perceive ourselves – sometimes with negative consequences.

Spencer Colt rejoins us to talk about his experience, and how our image can sometimes be tied to schoolyard bullies, and if we push ourselves beyond our limits we could just find ourselves halfway up Mt. Fuji with a double patella dislocation.

Now, not all experiences of body dysmorphia are under this umbrella – so we want to hear from you. If you’ve experienced some form of body dysmorphia we’d love to hear form you. Be that slender guys, chunky boys, tall or short guys – anyone who feels their body doesn’t match up with what their brain thinks it should be.

Spencer last joined us during our OnlyFans content creator episode Spice Guys and the Sextra episode that followed

We talk in non-explicit terms about domestic and intimate partner violence, so if you need some support head to joy.org.au/support

  • Ep 150 – Fistory Repeating

Break out the non-brand named vegetable shorting product and open wide! We’re going deep into the recesses of Tim’s descending colon in an exploration of fisting as Tim goes bravely into the farthest reaches of his digestive system.

Yes, Tim is attempting to take a little more than a knuckle sandwich – and we’re helping out (or being entirely unhelpful – you decide) in helping him get all the way there.

Tim, Michael and Jon are all fists on deck to share some tips, tricks, and tid bits about the art of handballing.

We chatted about Fisting with Michael / FFunOtter earlier in the year on My Left Fist and with Anthony back in 2020 on the episode Fist and Shout

  • Ep 150 – We’re A Winner, Baby
Oh, did we mention? We are winners!

We were so chuffed to be the recipients of the 2023 Addam Stobbs Award for Broadcasting Excellence at the JOY AGM!

Addam was a longtime presenter of Allegro Non Troppo at JOY until his passing in 2010 and this award is named for him.

At a time when our community is attacked, called groomers and pedophiles by hate commentators simply for daring to be their authentic selves- it’s truly an honour for us to be able to have the trust of JOY to present a show on broadcast radio about queer sex. Our sex lives form an important part of our lives, and queer pleasure is something we’ll fight tooth and nail to celebrate. So, thank you to the entire team at JOY for acknowledging us this year. Most imortantly, thank you to all our amazing guests who have candidly shared their thoughts and often intimate personal experiences of sex. Here we have a really quick reflection on the night and winning the award.

Don’t worry, the real episode for this week is coming tomorrow.
