  • Breakaway Toronto - S3122
In Episode 122 of the “High Regard Show,” “Breakaway Toronto,” we introduce a new travel segment, "Breakaway," in which we highlight a 24-hour mini break in select cities. We start with Toronto, where we fit in: a visit to the underwater wonderland of Ripley's Aquarium of Canada, the views from CN Tower, cheering on our New York Islanders in the Church of the Maple Leafs, paying our respects to the Stanley Cup at the Hockey Hall of Fame and our first poutine — and splurged on a stay at the luxurious Omni King Edward Hotel.
In “The POTSie," Tom talks about the effects of going without one of his POTS-treating staples during our stay in Canada and pushing through the exhaustion to enjoy our Breakaway in Toronto.

  • The Firmest Friend - S3E115
In Episode 115 of the “High Regard Show,” “The Firmest Friend,” we interview Andrew Fixell, first-time filmmaker behind “The Firmest Friend.” Andrew tells us how this documentary about four homeless youths and their relationship with their pit bulls came about, debunking the stigma of the breed and what the future holds for him.
Because we went on a bit of a bender about that time our car died at a most inopportune time (Christmas Eve) in a very unfortunate location (George Washington Bridge), Tom won’t have “The POTSie” this week, but don’t you worry, it’ll be right here next week … err, year.
Speaking of, happy 2018, listeners! We made it (didn’t we?!) Thank you for another great year of listening to HRS. We look forward to piercing your eardrums all through the new year.
    Yours in High Regard,
    Nikki & Tom
PS: Nikki wanted to use “Shake & Bake” as our salutation, but Tom thought it was more of a mantra than a sign off, so there’s that.
PSS: Are you following our four-legged studio manager? Well, you should find @TheKonaPersona on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. You're welcome.

  • Raw Emotion - S3E114
In Episode 114 of the “High Regard Show,” “Raw Emotion," we talk to musician Jay Stolar. Jay just released "Soho NY," the first EP from his new "Raw Emotions" series, which will see him release two songs a month and a new EP every quarter. He tells us where the idea for the series came from, the difference between songwriting for himself vs writing for others and his favorite pizza joint in New York.
In “The POTSie,” Tom's gives a bit of a throwback to "Roly Poly Roarty" by talking about his luxurious locks — and getting out of the house for something that wasn't a walk with Kona or a doctor's appointment.
With the holidays coming, you should really be following HRS studio manager @TheKonaPersona on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. She's truly the gift that keeps giving.
