Locutora, Maria Auxi, entrevista a Dr. Peter Francis Guardino.  Miembro de nuestra comunidad, profesor y autor.  El nos habla sobre sus experiencias viviendo en Bloomington, experiencia hablando/aprendiendo español, y sus experiencias como autor.  Menciona su interés y la causa por sus libros Peasants, Politics, and the Formation of Mexico’s National State: Guerrero, 1800-1857, The Time of Liberty Popular Political Culture in Oaxaca, 1750-1850 y su más reciente The Dead March: A History of the Mexican-American War (La marcha fúnebre: Una historia de la guerra entre México y Estados Unidos) sobre las experiencias desde los ojos de las personas que vivan ahí.

He tells us about his experiences living in Bloomington, experience learning and speaking Spanish, and his experiences as an author. He mentions his interest and the interest for his books Peasants, Politics, and the Formation of Mexico’s National State: Guerrero, 1800-1857, The Time of Liberty Popular Political Culture in Oaxaca, 1750-1850 and his most recent The Dead March: A History of the Mexican-American War on the experiences from the eyes of the people who live there.

Locutora, Minerva Sosa, entrevista a una invitada muy especial Maria Isabel Mora.  Ella nos habla sobre sus experencias como emprendedora, madre soltera a mujer y autora de el libro La Semilla de la Vida.  La Semilla de la Vida nos trae un mensaje claro: a través de experiencias vividas ayudar a esas personas, mujeres y hombres que se encuentran solos y angustiados sin saber qué futuro viene para sus hijos y para ellos. En esta obra descubrirán que tienen la noble responsabilidad de educar, amar y proteger a esas semillas que Dios les dio y que poseen recursos ilimitados para aceptar el reto de la vida. 

Host, Minerva Sosa, interviews a special guest Maria Isabel Mora. She tells us about her experiences as an entrepreneur, single mother to woman and author of the book The Seed of Life. The Seed of Life brings us a clear message: through lived experiences help those people, women and men who are alone and distressed without knowing what future is coming for their children and for them. In this project you will discover that she has a noble responsibility to educate, love and protect those seeds that God gave them and that they have unlimited resources to accept the challenge of life.

En el programa de la wfhb’s Hola Bloomington Lateenx Talk  escuchan a Diana, Gabriel, Lizbeth y Fernando.  Ellos hablan sobre el idioma español, hablan sobre las dificultades adaptarse a un nuevo lenguaje.  En el segundo segmento, ellos hablan sobre sus experiencias contra el racismo y la discriminación en sus escuelas y en la ciudad en general.   Terminan su programa con el tercer tema hablando de la presión que reciben en casa por parte de sus padres.  Ser primera generación en ir a un Universidad añade presión.  Sienten presión de que tienen que hacer bien en la High School para que tengan un buen futuro.

On wfhb’s Hola Bloomington Lateenx Talk: Listen to Diana, Gabriel, Lizbeth and Fernando.  They talk about the Spanish language; they talk about the difficulties they experienced adapting to a new language.  In the second segment, they talk about their experiences against racism and discrimination encountered in their schools and in the city in general.  They finish their program with the third topic talking about the pressure they receive at home from their parents.  Being first generation to attend a university adds pressure.  They feel pressure to do well in high school to ensure a good future.
