Ah coffee. I love it. And there are a lot of guru's these days telling you that it's "good" for you. Of course, that's not the whole story.
There are reasons that coffee can be good for you.
And at the same time there are negative effects to the caffeine in coffee.
It's important to listen to your body and because I'm doing that in the new year I know I want to keep my love of coffee in check.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not quitting coffee anytime soon... but I do want to consume coffee in a way that benefits my health and doesn't have negative impacts.

At the young age of 15 Garrett Kopp was inspired by his Grandmother to dive into the world of functional fungi.

Welcome Mitzi Wilkinson Champion!
Eleven years ago, Mitzi says she was obese with a long list of medical conditions including: depression, ADD, fatty liver, pre-diabetic, insulin resistant, sleep apnea, acid reflux, joint pain, planter’s fasciitis, brain fog, gas and bloating, acne, and dry eye syndrome. In 2020 she was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.

Her own healing journey  prompted her to study nutrition which led her to follow the low carb/keto/PHD (Proper Human Diet) lifestyle. Which, at the time of this writing, she has been following  for more than seven years.  Since starting it she has seen a marked improvement in her thyroid blood markers, lost 50 pounds and is currently on no medications.   

Mitzi is certified as a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP). And she recently finished her master’s degree in Public Health with a concentration in nutrition. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Health Sciences and is an Adjunct Professor at George Mason University. She also works for the US Army.
