I SAID WHAT I SAID! Y'all need to understand that this lil’ planet ain’t sh*t!

The solar system is made up of so many “planets” that the acronym you learned in elementary school: "My Very Energetic Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas" would end up being as longer than Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! 

In this episode we talk about other “Pluto sized” dwarf planets that also demand some attention. Join another solo J. Daae episode while he discusses the New Horizons Telescope and its discoveries and troubles along its journey, and breaking down the definition of “What is a planet?” And explaining the importance of changing with the time and acknowledge that science reveals new facts every day and we must change with it.

We are all so lucky that we are able to be alive during the reign of Beyoncé. Truly iconic and a phenomenon. We can’t wait to do another review on any of her future projects!

We said it once and we’ll say it again, and again, and again. BLACK LIVES MATTER!!!

This week we continue with last week’s discussion about how Latinos need to do better in the fight for black liberation.

We discuss what is race and how it is not the same as ethnicity, the difference between how Mexico & USA look at racism, and how we are calling out racism in our community. 

J & Lesly also continue their conversation with Laisa & Jackie about their Latinx experience with racism and conversations they're having with family and friends.

We hope this episode is enabling those white passing latinos to do some internal work and really go full out for support of black lives. This isn’t an easy conversation for anyone and we understand. But enough is enough. We need to do better and be better.

Remember, colonization didn’t happen overnight and neither will dismantling its structures. But together, we can do anything. It all starts with a conversation.

As Latinx people we have run into our fair share of racism and anti-blackness in our community and we are here to call you out. If you are doing the work on the ground, great! But this episode is aimed toward the white passing latinx people who are anti-black and use the "POC" acronym to protect themselves from scrutiny. 

Join J & Lesly for PART 1 with our two guests, Jackie & Laisa, as we discuss own problematic pasts, how they are working to decolonize their mindset, how are they breaking the cycle of racism with their loved ones and how we teach our relatives and friends that black lives matter.

Covid-19, the thing that’s been on everyone's lips or to be scientifically accurate the respiratory system. 

Living in California, J & Lesly have been in self quarantine since March and got a lot to say. They will discuss how they are implement self-care  with being indoors all day and how they keep sane when all we hear is "corona this, corona that." 

We have the perspective of being quarantined while working and one being an essential worker. So hear us discuss the differences in what we experiencing.

We hope you enjoy the first episode! If you have any questions for future topics or if you want to tell us how your #Corona2020 is going, we would love to hear from you. We are thinking about making an episode where we listen to other peoples stories and talk to others experiencing something different. It's important for people to feel seen and their experiences heard.
