Hope to Recharge episodes

  • Finding the RIGHT Therapy (Solo: Part 2)

As 2019 is coming to a close I wanted to share with you more about my mental health journey. The intention of this episode is to provide you with actionable steps and resources that will help you level up your mental wellness as we embark on a new year.

This is part two of our three part series were I am coming to you solo, sharing my personal story of battling with depression and anxiety. We talk about how I was able to overcome this struggle that was threatening every aspect of my life.

You will hear how “I found hope” in my psychiatrist's office and how important it is to find the right therapist for you. I also share what I wish I would have done differently from the beginning when choosing a therapist and why I believe now more than ever that physical health is so important to our mental and emotional health.

I walk you through step by step my journey and how it evolved from simply seeking therapy to adding in tools like yoga, meditation, and community. I hope this episode encourages you to “find the right cocktail” that works for you and what you are going through. We are all so unique and so as I share my personal experience I encourage you to fight for your own story.

We are here if you need anything. Whether it is a question about an  episode or if you simply need a community who understands what you are going through, find us in our private Facebook group Hope to Recharge, because together is always better!

  • The Gratitude Podcast with Gorgian Benta

I am so excited to introduce you to someone who has been instrumental in my own gratitude practice. Gorgian Benta host of The Gratitude Podcast joins us today to talk about why he is so passionate about gratitude and how it pulled him out of a time where he had "hit rock bottom".

Gorgian has dedicated the past three years to extensively studying gratitude. He produces a new show for his podcast multiple times a week but says that there is "always something to learn" when it comes to gratitude. He shares that through gratitude although nothing may change on the outside, "everything changes on the inside".

In this episode we talk about how gratitude gives us a powerful feeling of abundance and helps us see the world in a different way. We also dig into the importance of not just "saying" thank you but how true gratitude is FEELING grateful. He generously share with us gratitude practices and even ways that we can strategically remind ourselves of moments from the past that we can reflect on and be grateful for.

We even reflect on the small things in life that we take for granted and how we miss opportunities to be grateful, potentially robbing ourselves from the beautiful benefits of gratitude. Georgians points out that many of the conveniences we have and enjoy day to day came from the labor and extreme effort of others. Noticing these small things throughout our lives, will open the door to massive abundance and bless our lives intensely.

If you are interested in how you can take your gratitude to the next level or how we can see lightness even in our darkest times, you will LOVE this conversation with Gorgian. Please connect with us in our private Facebook community to learn with us more about gratitude. We would love to support you in your mental health and gratitude journey. Find us by typing in: ‘Hope to Recharge’ in your Facebook search bar. Together is always better!

    Topics:

    • How we can find gratitude in simple conveniences in life.
    • Why and how we should give the same energy to our gratitude as we give our frustration.

  • The Gift of Depression With Regena Rosa
Often we do what we feel like we “should do” instead of leaning into what feels truly right for us. Perhaps we do not fully trust what we tell ourselves for fear of being judgement or perhaps maybe mistakes. Or we have simply been conditioned to respond to what is going on around us instead of tuning in to what our intuition is trying to say.   This week I had the incredible honor of connecting with Regena Rosa about what she has learned through her journey thru depression and why she says that she is actually grateful for her experience with it.   Regena vividly explains what depression felt like in her body describing it like “heavy bricks on top of” her body. She shares with us the moment that she realized that her “mind was not functioning properly” and why she believes that she needed to experience that depth of pain in order to fully change.   We talk about giving yourself permission to see your thoughts in a new way, having a new experience with them, as if a witness watching from outside the experience.  She shares, how she allowed help from others and how it helped her get healed and back to a healthy, happy lifestyle. She shares the struggles of denying the pain, and the "lie" of thinking ONE can change on their own. Why depression truly is a wound that you simply cannot be seen, hence why it's such a challenging experience for many.   This is such a vulnerable and raw episode what I know will help so many of you to not feel alone in your struggles. We want to provide another layer of support to you. Connect with us in our private Facebook group, Hope to Recharge. We would love for you to be a part of our community. • Holiday Gratitude Even in Blues (Attitude Gratitude)

Do you struggle with the “Holiday Blues”? A lot of people struggle during the holidays and it can be especially difficult because most people are celebrating and you feel like you “should” be happy and not feeling the way that you do. In today’s episode, we talk about coping with the holiday blues and even finding gratitude in the midst of it.

Although I personally have never struggled with the holiday blues I have struggled with deep depression during our family’s celebrations and special holidays. There is a lot of guilt and frustration that can come from these emotions especially during these times but I invite you to join me in an exercise that will help tremendously.

Today we are talking  about inviting gratitude into your Holiday Blues. While you are acknowledging pain, and not pushing it away, you can also invite light to come in. Again, we are not ignoring the pain, we are just allowing the space for gratitude to enter and acknowledge things that are working for us. Although simple, these gratitude practices are SO powerful and can literally transform how you feel.

As 2019 is coming to a close, it is time for us to pause and reflect on everything to be grateful for this year. Take a moment to tune it for a moment and be present and reflect on the year. What are you grateful for today?

We want you to know that you are not alone during this holiday season. We truly care about you and invite you to join us in our private Facebook community, Hope to Recharge. Because as always, together is better.

  • Embracing Your Uniqueness with Cameron Herold

What if the thing that you think is a weakness is actually a strength? What if many of the “disorders” that we place on people are actually just their own uniqueness and something they can use to their advantage? This week I had the honor of connecting with Cameron Herold, also known as the “CEO whisperer”, to talk about his journey in mental health and why he thinks you should embrace what sets you apart.

Cameron has had extreme success even at an early age. He is known for his high energy, best selling books, and his gift for being able to help companies double and even triple their revenue in a short period of time. However, Cameron had an unconventional upbringing. He was diagnosed at an early age with “mental disorders” and although at the time, it was seen as a weakness, he now believes that being different is what helped him become as successful as he is.

In today’s powerful interview, Cameron shares with us why he believes many of our differences that we see as “mental illnesses” are simply our own uniquenesses. He even believes they can be our gifts. He suggests that we stop telling kids they have “problems” and start seeing how the thing that sets them apart can actually be used productively. He also shares with us about how our children’s confidence is suffering when we are constantly focused on finding what is “wrong” with them.

He encourages us in this episode to not only educate ourselves on those who have made the history books and have “struggled” with “mental illness” but for us to celebrate what makes us unique and consider that there may be nothing innately wrong with us.

This was such an eye opening conversation and we would LOVE to hear what you think! Connect with us in our private Facebook group: Hope to Recharge. As always, together is better!

  • Don’t Stop the Practice (Attitude of Gratitude)

We talk a lot on the show about practicing gratitude through the difficult times. However when gratitude WORKS (which it does!) What do we do then? Today on Attitude of Gratitude we talk about the importance of continuing our gratitude practice even when things are going well.

In order to take gratitude to the next level, and truly experience all that it has to offer we need to make it apart of our lives. Sometimes it is easier to reminder to practice gratitude because it becomes a part of our tool kit while we are struggling, but we are truly missing out if we do not use it fully and make it a regular practice.

Gratitude looks different for everyone. I am learning so much from our listeners about their own practices and the way that they implement gratitude. In this episode, I share with you my own tips and tricks on how I use it daily, and what I am even doing next to challenge myself! Gratitude can truly create miracles in our lives!

I am still learning so much about gratitude and grateful that I get to learn by serving YOU. We are incredibly grateful for you tuning in each week and being apart of our tribe. Please connect with us in our thriving Facebook community: Hope to Recharge, because as always, together is better!
