Horrifying History

Sometimes when reading a book, I notice that it is relying on a coincidence to push the story forward. That can be a bit annoying since seemingly impossible coincidences somehow align so perfectly, that the whole book seems like a set-up from a writer who needs to improve their skills. Real life doesn’t work like that…right? But the thing is my spooky friends, sometimes it actually does.

Here’s a heads up my dear listeners…today we will be talking about murder of both adults and children, domestic abuse, suicide, and cannibalism. Listener discretion is advised.

In 1913, a house wife named Pearl Curran started to write. She soon started to produce award winning poems, and then she created three successful novels. In her lifetime she put over 400,000 words on paper, which is a huge achievement. But according to Pearl, she didn’t write a word at all. In actuality, the person who was the creator behind all this was a spirit who was Pearl was channelling.

They are rich, famous, and glamorous. When celebrities die, they are often considered to be immortal since their work and reputation lives on. But in some cases, they are considered to be immortal for another reason.

In 1957, an alien named Commander Valiant Thor came to Earth demanding to speak with President Dwight D. Eisenhower. After meeting with the President, Vice President Richard Nixon, and the joint chiefs - he stayed on Earth for three years working with top scientists and government officials while living in the Pentagon.

If this sounds suspiciously like a plot of a TV show, you are correct. In American Horror Story Double Feature, Valiant Thor is an alien earthly representative, who is actual the mastermind behind an evil plot to replace the human race with alien/human hybrids. But the thing is my dear listeners, this is not just some sort of plot of a tv show. In fact, some believe that this really happened.

Between 1765 and 1767; a creature terrorized a rural region of France and killed over one hundred people. At the time, many presumed this beast to be a wolf. Some still believe this today, but there are others that are not so sure.

Serial killers are terrifying to most. This is because there are no blueprints for what makes a serial killer, nor is there a specific set of experiences that can occur to create one. This whole idea was summed up perfectly by serial killer Ted Bundy when he said…and I quote…”We serial killers are your sons. We are your husbands. We are everywhere. And there will be more of your children dead tomorrow.”

But the one thing we cling onto is the fact is that serial killers eventually get caught. But what if they don’t?

Just a heads up here my dear listeners…today we will be talking about death by drowning, and graphic death scenes. Listener discretion is advised.
