The 1980s was hard on the car industry after the oil crises of the prior decade.
American cars struggled, Japanese cars got popular with millions of new owners, and the Germans were finding out that the United States would soon be their most important market.
 It made for some memorable cars that have now become 80s icons.

In 1961, Ferrari entered the mid-engine era of Formula One cars. They were a little late to the game but the Tipo 156 vindicated itself in dramatic fashion, with Phil Hill winning the Driver's Championship that year.

But once the 156 was done on the circuit, Ferrari destroyed every chassis… eight in total.
And yet dreams do persist.

Brandon Hegedus is a car builder from Calgary Canada who singlehandedly built a stunning 1962 iteration of the  Ferrari Tipo 156  in his garage. In this episode, Brandon walks us through the history of the Tipo 156 and what it took to replicate this legendary car.

Here's a quick update on how the massive overhaul of Apple Podcasts affected many shows in the library.

You've probably noticed that the Apple Podcasts app looks very different now, and it's gained a whole lot of convenience and utility for users... but there were still bugs when it was released in late April.

You may have noticed problems as a user. But for podcasters, but was an absolute nightmare!

All through the month of May, weird things were happening: shows disappeared. Episodes went into oblivion. Downloads plummeted by 30 per cent.

So here's what you can do: scroll through Horsepower Heritage page on the Apple Podcasts app, and if you see any episodes that are unplayed, it could be that they were missing before but have since been pushed to the app.
