(4:32) Tuesday night gave us the first taste of official March Madness action, with the first two “First Four” games taking place, first between St. Francis and Alabama State, where ASU was able to pull off the last second victory 70-68. The guys hit on this matchup, as well as Senior’s usual disdain for the play in games. They also discussed the second matchup of the night between highly-disputed participant North Carolina and San Diego State.
(12:45) The guys then shifted from the College Courts to the Professionals, recapping last night’s matchup between the Milwaukee Bucks and Golden State Warriors. No Curry? No Problem for Golden State, as Jimmy Butler was able to provide the dubs with a 24-8-10 stat line, only furthering the narrative about how much the Warriors have improved with him on the roster. Mike and Mike discuss what the Warriors could look like come playoff time, and if Butler has turned them into legitimate contenders for the 2025 title.
(23:26) The Aaron Rodgers saga is still ongoing, with many reports linking him to the Minnesota Vikings surfacing this week. However, that news was put to rest during the first hour of Wednesday’s show after NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero revealed the Vikings have been rejecting multiple trade calls on QB J.J. McCarthy, signaling they’re content with him starting under center next season. The guys discussed the latest chapter in the Rodgers saga, and weighed his two biggest options between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants.
(38:50) Speaking of the Steelers, noted Steelers super fan Jessica Smetana stopped by to catch up with Junior and Senior. They first discussed how she feels about the prospect of Aaron Rodgers coming to Pittsburgh, and then shifted into other conversations such as Cameron Brink’s latest comments, as well as Lando Norris taking home the first race of the F1 season.
(53:08) Mike Golic Jr. gives a recap of the second game in Tokyo between the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers, highlighted by homecoming hero Shohei Ohtani blasting a HR to right field and taking down Chicago 6-3
