Hour 1: Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings on starring in Netflix's 'Quarterback,' ignoring media noise and 0-2 start + Nick Chubb Injury, Deshaun Watson & Patrick Mahomes New Contract

Coming off of the offensive slop on display for all four NFL teams during Monday Night Football’s doubleheader (02:50) GoJo and Golic begin their recap with the unfortunate news of Nick Chubb’s season-ending knee injury before discussing the lack of return on investment from Cleveland’s newest franchise QB Deshaun Watson: “This just not the Deshaun Watson these guys thought they were paying for.” (06:30) The guys go on paint a picture of just how bad the Steelers were on offensive before TJ Watt and their defense saved them with the go-ahead touchdown in the 4th Quarter. (14:30) Returning to Nick Chubb, Jessie shares the sound of Browns HC Kevin Stefanski and QB Deshaun Watson on the injury, and GoJo and Golic discuss what the Browns do to fill the Nick Chubb-sized whole in their offense.

(19:50) Minnesota Vikings starting QB Kirk Cousins joins the show! Kirk talks with GoJo and Golic about what it was like filming the Netflix documentary series ‘Quarterback’, how it helped fuel a great season last year, and how he’s thankful to share that season with his boys someday. After an 0-2 start to the season, GoJo asks Kirk Cousins how he balances quality play with pushing his team to start winning football games. (39:25) Jessie lays out the details surrounding Patrick Mahomes’ restructured deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, making him the highest-paid NFL player in a 4-year span. GoJo says this is a mini deal inside an already extended deal that lasts until 2031: “He’s so good they gave him a baseball contract.” Golic discusses which AFC team has the potential to knockoff the Chiefs with Patrick Mahomes at the helm for the foreseeable future.
