In Hour 1…

(5:40) Reports began to surface this week that the Pittsburgh Steelers may be interested in the services of former NY Giants QB Daniel Jones ahead of the 2025 Regular Season, and the guys get into the overall QB situation in Pittsburgh. Between a solid showing from Justin Fields and the resurgence of Russell Wilson, the Steelers have some tough decisions to make under center ahead of Week 1. They also get into Andy Dalton resigning with the Carolina Panthers, and how they will approach QB between him and Bryce Young heading into the 2025 Season. 

(16:06) Sticking with the theme of starting QB decisions, the guys then get into the Matthew Stafford situation with the LA Rams. Stafford is getting older and the Rams are looking to re-tool this offseason. With all of these decisions looming, what will the Rams do with their Super Bowl Champion QB?

(19:25) The Golic’s are talking the game on the diamond, and how the Los Angeles Dodgers have seemingly signed every big-name star over the past few offseasons. MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred addressed the situation of payroll disparity in baseball, and what Los Angeles’ continued moves will mean for the future of the sports health and growth.

(34:22) You may recognize a familiar voice (and cough) if you’ve caught “Court of Gold” on Netflix, a documentary about the 2024 US Men’s Basketball team - it’s our own Jessie Coffield! Jessie’s voice (and a cough from Mike Sr.) made its way into the program, and the three get into how it all came about. They then shift into their overall thought’s on the doc, reflecting on their biggest takeaways, and what some relationships between players you may want to focus a little more on.

(41:54) The guys think we need more international competition in major sports. After the successes of Team USA Basketball in Paris, as well as team USA Hockey in this year’s Four Nations Faceoff. It just means more when you’re playing for your country, and the Mike’s brainstorm different ideas on how to improve international play across all sports.
