Welcome to House of Comics #47! We know that we have been pretty abstract with the topics this season. After comic book/wine pairings (see HoC #43) and 5-on-5 X-Men pickup games (see HoC #45), we figured it would be nice to do an episode for newer readers and new listeners of the pod. Since most people are more familiar with film than graphic novels, we decided to go through some classic movie genres and talk about some comic books that would fall into those genres. We get into our personal opinions and philosophies around the genres and why we choice the books that we did. Accessibility was a key factor, but we also made sure to provide you with books that we could recommend to just about anyone looking for the goods in this medium. If you’ve seen every Mission Impossible movie or every A24 film, this is the one for you. Welcome to House of Comics #46! We’re back! This is what happens when you take a little break that happens to coincide with one of the biggest nerd events of the year and publishers deciding that we needed every book this month. We 100% did a 3.5 hour long pod about E3 announcements and the books we’ve read over the last 2.5 weeks. Why? Because damnit, that’s what we do. Welcome to House of Comics #44! No burying the lead here; we’re tackling the $43B elephant that is the WarnerMedia x Discovery merger that recently took place. We are not businessmen of any merit nor are we traditional economists, but if there is an economy that we do understand, it’s nerd capital. After talking through what we guess is some form of business venture, we get into the real fan and reveal our Discover Channel-inspired shows featuring some of our favorite comic book characters and creators. If Naked & Afraid x Green Lanterns sounds like something you might be interested in, this is the one for you! Out This Week (2:25:52)
Welcome to House of Comics #43! In an ambitious attempt to match select wines with comic books series that we felt paired well with said wines, we discovered that we may very well be developing the art of the comic book sommelier. From the dynamic aromatics of an indie superhero series to the pungent, full-bodied nature of an intergalactic love story, we somehow made this make sense. We also managed to squeeze in our Bad Batch impressions and talk about 40% of the books we read last week (and yes, the pod is still this long!). If you know the difference between a Merlot and a Malbec, this is the one for you.

Welcome to House of Comics #42! In a rare change of pace for us, this episode was borderline educational in nature as we play the name game with some of the more interesting names in the industry. If you’ve seen these names a thousand times and were today-years-old when you heard them, that’s ok, join the club! In all honesty, this was fun and insightful topic of the day, but it was also necessary for us and for comic book fans out there. Also, Tom King’s Rorschach… Don’t forget to follow us on IG: houseofcomicsgo - Twitter: @HouseOfComics – Twitch: twitch.tv/houseofcomics ///

Comic Book Review (1:02:39)
Welcome to House of Comics #39! We finally take our deep dive into what will likely be the comic book event of the year, the #SynderCut. Likes, dislikes, reactions, thoughts, feelings, questions, concerns, projections, reflections, and much more were expressed during our discussion [SPOILERS: we liked it]. The #SynderCut, unsurprisingly, was followed be a slew of comic book news from across the industry. Some initial thoughts on Falcon & Winter solider as well as the hype-mobile that is Invincible on Amazon Prime. Oh, and Marvel ended their 20+ year partnership with Diamond just to make sure this was a truly historic 10 days for the industry at-large.
