Welcome to House of Comics #36! Alright, let’s get out our DC/Warner Bros. 2021 bingo cards. If you had the Blue Beetle moving getting a director, The Flash casting a Supergirl from The Young & the Restless, a Batman X Fortnite comic, a black & white version of the #SynterCut, and us reviewing a whopping ZERO DC books: then you’re probably in the Department of Truth (or honestly just the FBI). We also talk about talking about WandaVision and take our first look at what is shaping up to be a proving month for one half of the Big 2. Welcome to House of Comics #34! The end of whatever the hell 2020 was is rapidly approaching and we figured what better way to celebrate than an award show encompassing all of our favorite comic book people and projects. We plan to the obvious categories like best series, best creative team, and whatever award allows us to take about Jeff Lemire, just to name a few. We also wanted to put our classic HoC spin on it and really shed some light on some more nuanced parts of the industry. Sad boys, leading ladies, variant covers, and violence will all be put on the pedestals they deserve, but we need your help! Let us know some fun categories that you would like to see included. If there’s a genre, group of characters/creators, or idea (or lack thereof) that you think deserve a category, please let us know on IG: houseofcomicsgo - Twitter: @HouseOfComics - Email: [email protected] - Twitch: twitch.tv/houseofcomics ///

Much like our previous House of Games installments, we highly encourage you to play along while you’re listening. Well then listen to the episode, especially if you want us to catch you up on the latest news from around the industry and recaps of last week’s releases. Welcome to House of Comics #31! This has never been and will never be a podcast where we air out our thoughts on the political landscape of the world, we’re already pushing 3 hours podcasts with just talking about fiction. With that being said, this episode was obviously inspired by recent political events and we figured it would be a good way to appropriately date this episode. Without further ado, we present our Comic Book Presidential Cabinets, with a special guest appearance from long-time listener and friend of the pod, Bethany S. (see episode #18)! Welcome to House of Comics #28! WARNING: This episode is basically all about the books. We touch on some Spider-Man 3 and HBO Max Green Lantern news, but we were knee deep in literature and needed all of the time to talk about the books. Why? Because they were all fantastic. Think we ended up reading 15 books between us and we would literally have no problem recommending every single one of them to you. If you’re a fan of the books and have been keeping up with what we’re reading (listed below), this is the episode for you.
