  • House of Comics #17: "It's about family"
Welcome to House of Comics #17! There were no new releases from DC or Marvel the week of July 1, so we took it as a sign of comic karma and decided to dedicate this pod to the publisher do put out comics, the indie publishers. We go through some of our favorite series, both new and old, from each of our favorite indie comic publishers. We were a little heavy on the Image side, but we manage to cover the board with some truly special creator-owned titles. Enjoy the episode and be sure to give us some of your favorite indie comics! • House of Comics #16: "I wanna be Batman so badly"
Welcome to House of Comics #16! We read comics and play video games so it’s honestly weird we waited this long to talk about our favorite comic book inspired games. We revisit some of our favorites and talk about some of the recent comic book announcements in the gaming industry. Even bounced around a few video game ideas of our own. • House of Comics #15: "The 'Mister-y' Men"

Welcome to House of Comics #15! As promised, this episode is our special House of Music Spectacular!! If you’re a fan of the podcast, you may have picked up on our love for music, but if you haven’t, this should really drive it home for you. We ran ourselves through the gamut with a variety of sonically influenced comic book topics ranging from our favorite comic book movie soundtracks to album/comic pairings curated by yours truly. This may have been our most theoretically ambitious topic yet, which is hilarious considering this topic provides a frame of how we view art in our daily lives. We’re not sure what other podcast is talking about Jeff Lemire, Greg Rucka, Schoolboy Q, and Steve Wilson all in the same breath, but we can almost guarantee we did it better. • House of Comics #13: "What's a chiller-diller?"

Welcome to House of Comics #13! Seeing that the podcast is officially an adolescent, we injected some teenage angst into our topic of the day. We highlighted some of our ‘favorite’ teenage superheroes and debate what defines a character’ “teenage” years in terms of comic continuity. We also fail to ignore the elephant in the room and do a deep dive into DC deciding to cut ties with Diamond Distribution after 25+ years. Although we spent a fair amount of time talking about the impact this could have on the industry, we eventually got around to what really matters at the end of the day – the books. We did a full reaction podcast packed with comic commentary from the gang as well as a few deep dives about our thoughts on the show’s first episode. • House of Comics #10 - Justice League Draft Spectacular: "Green Arrow would be cool but he's a choch"
Welcome to House of Comics #10! We celebrated this milestone with a crisis event of epic proportions. We have our first ever Justice League Draft. Pretty much a fantasy football draft, but with DC characters. We were lucky enough to be joined by some of our friends, who not only participated in the draft, but also helped us plan and setup the whole thing. A huge thank you goes out to them! Also thank you to everyone who watched us live on Instagram during the draft. Although there was some big comic book news this week, the biggest news was the high stakes, face-paced action of this fake draft. • House of Comics #9: "It's a PBR with acid in it"
Welcome to House of Comics #9! We should warn you all now that we spent a lot of time talking about a lot of books. The topic of the day was “continuity in comic books” so needless to say it required a lot of opinion-based facts about our fictional favorites. We get into some pros and cons of continuity and dive deep into our bag of examples. Reboots, retcons, self-contained stories, and just about everything else a character could show up in was discussed. We hope you like rabbit holes because we followed quite a few in this one.
