Houston’s 11-game non-conference schedule for 2024-25 is out and it includes games against Auburn (neutral) and Alabama (Player’s Era Festival) and not much else. There are no true road games. A year after the Big 12 came under fire for their  weak non-conference scheduling, it would have been nice to see Houston’s improve. That said, Kelvin Sampson, LJ Cryer, and company should come into Big 12 play with a strong record. By comparison to Indiana’s non-con slate, however, Houston’s looks downright difficult. The Hoosiers host South Carolina and will play in the Battle 4 Atlantis (Bracket not yet revealed), but outside of that hos seven buy games. Given that Mike Woodson’s club projects to be a strong club, we would love to see a more challenging schedule.

The Baha Mar Bahamas event has their best field to date – Baylor, St. John’s, Tennessee, and Virginia. Not to mention what a loaded quarter of coaches that includes: Scott Drew, Rick Pitino, Rick Barnes, and Tony Bennett.
