As COVID-19 has spread across the world, the ability to understand the spread of the virus in our communities, as well as diagnose the patient right in front of us, has been a challenge. Molecular, antigen, and antibody tests are now widely available, and the FDA recently approved the SalivaDirect test, which offers a rapid and inexpensive option for testing.
