Full Hour | In today’s third hour, Dom welcomes Real Clear Pennsylvania Editor Charles McElwee onto the Dom Giordano Program to discuss comments he made on the Ricochet Podcast, telling that he thinks the Republicans overbid a bit on the issue of crime, explaining that suburban voters didn’t value the issue on the level that Republicans had expected. McElwee tells why he believes this, telling what he’s heard from suburban voters who have only a distant memory now of regularly coming and commuting into Philadelphia. McElwee tells that this has led voters to care less about the crime in the City, and the Republicans could have gained more ground speaking on other, more relatable issues.  

Then, Dom welcomes Dave White, former candidate for Governor in Pennsylvania, back onto the Dom Giordano Program. White, also a long-time political powerhouse in his native Delaware County, tells Giordano what should have been done differently by Republicans in the midterms, with White honing in on a change of messaging, particularly on the issue of abortion. Then, Dom delves into the co-opting of issues by the Democratic Party, asking how White would have navigated the Democratic Party’s tendency to twist Republican stances on issues.
