Full Hour | In today’s second hour, Dom welcomes back Steve Friend, author of True Blue: My Journal from Beat Cop to Suspended FBI Whistleblower back onto the Dom Giordano Program to hear his thoughts about the Christopher Wray hearings yesterday, first telling his thoughts on a moment when Wray laughed about not being paid while serving in his position as head of the FBI. Then, Friend offers his thoughts on the lack of results from an investigation into cocaine found in the White House, noting it as another example of bias presented by our federal law enforcement agencies. Friend then takes us inside the FBI, telling about the orders he received regarding inarguably politically charged investigations, and offers his thoughts on whether the rank-and-file members of the enforcement organization fall in step with their leader, Christopher Wray.
Then, Dom spends some time talking about local politics and a very important issue, being capital punishment, as the shooter behind the Tree of Life synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh faces hit fate. Currently, a jury is deliberating whether or not the perpetrator will be sentenced to death, which causes Dom to recall the changing stance on the topic by Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro.
