For generations, many parts of this province have had a relatively homogeneous population, mostly the descendants of white settlers from England and Ireland.
But it is vital for us to understand and acknowledge that Indigenous peoples lived here for generations before our settler ancestors arrived. And other people have made this province their home since at least the late 1800s.
But how inclusive have we been? How does racism show up in our communities? And what can we all do to make things better?
