In this episode, Amie & Sara discuss how healthcare can be deadly by examining cases that were highly publicized in which patients did not receive "care" or died while in care. These cases highlight systemic issues in healthcare. We provide insights for patients and families rights while accessing the healthcare system, and challenge healthcare providers to take a critical look into their practices and how their behaviours can perpetuate systemic racism, bias and stigmatization.
