This is a really sweet story about a wife swap, 2 very different couples participate in a wife swap for a reality show...1 mom is a Journalist and hard working out of the home career girl, and the other mom is a stay at home,home schooling housewife...so things get very interesting..The husbands are 2 very different types of men too...by the end of this short story, both marriages are stronger, and everyone is much happier and on a new path to love and life!! I liked this very much, and I recommend it!!!

Wow! This was a quick story about two different couples and what happens when they do a wife swap. I honestly was expecting it to be a steamy story but it wasn't and for good reason. This was a very well written book and these narrators did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life. This is the first book I have listened to by this author and I can't wait to check out more!

Healing A heart

Loved this book fantastic job Amy lillard!!!

Great Story!

Wow! I love this Cattle Creek series and Healing a Heart is such a great addition to the series. I loved the first book in the series, however, I think I loved Healing a Heart even more! The dynamic of this family is such fun. They pulled Bryn right into their group, even when she didn't plan to stay around.There was such great attraction and tension between Jake and Bryn. The situation they find themselves in, expecting a child together without really knowing each other, definitely made for plenty of drama and room for insecure feelings to arise. I loved this story from beginning to end!

Healing a heart

It's a good story. Easy to follow. Very enjoyable. I would recommend this book to any romantic to enjoy and pass on.

Explicit Description

I've read most of Amy Lillard's Love Inspired Amish romance storiesandloved them. A lot of her Amish relationships might be very warm, but they're respectful of God's boundaries. I felt blindsided when a third of the way through Healing a Heart, I had to skip a very descriptive " love " scene. I was surprised and disappointed. Healing a Heart is a good story; it really didn't need the explicit description or the four letter expletives as enhancements.

The characters are well rounded and well developed. I really liked Bryn and Jake, both as individuals and as a couple. I could understand why they were so guarded and afraid to take a chance at love. It was great to see them work through their fears and doubts. They felt like real people to me that I could know in real life. I enjoyed Jakeâs family and getting to know them.

A mediocre ending to a good series

This is the third book in the French Twist series- and unfortunately it was my least favorite. The book centers on Lexi who has become a French trained pastry chef who is figuring out her career and love life. Lexi's character is still very sweet- but I didn't love the way some of her relationships developed or just fizzled. I was also disappointed because the first two books in the series focus a great deal on baking and recipes and while this book still took place in a commercial bakery there were fewer recipes and much less baking or cooking techniques in this one. I'm glad I listened to it to cap off the series and find out what happened to Lexi, but I don't think I would have read it as a standalone.

Surprising Read!!

I certainly was not expecting this when I picked up this copy. I was blown away by this beautiful story of self acceptance and the journey to love by Bey Deckhard. This is a short novella that will leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy.

Stuart Leandro is down and depressed over his pending divorce and spiraling acting career. One night of binge drinking has left him being rescued by a complete stranger, Tim. After realizing that Tim was born a woman but transitioned into a man, Stuart finds himself completely captivated by him. The two men quickly become friends and soon decide that the attraction for each other is hard to deny. What I loved about this is the way Stuart just dove in and accepted Tim. He never judged and what Stuart didnât know he just asked. I absolutely loved when Stuart was asking about the anatomy of Tim. I laughed out loud. I thought this was written with class by Mr. Deckhard. Tim is a character who will forever have a place in my heart. While he is scared to just be himself and is shy I thought the way he approached his new found relationship with Stuart was perfect. Tim was a little apprehensive and not so trusting. He needed more from Stuart than just his word. He needed proof.

I truly loved this story and it was perfect timing with Transgender being everywhere in the media these days. I thought this story was educating and informative to the subject. If I have any complaints they are completely selfish and are warranted because I just wanted so much more. I thought the story could have gone so much deeper. Of course, I am greedy that way! ï I can always hope Mr. Deckhard will revisit these two men at some point and give us an update. HINT HINT!! If you are looking for a simple, yet touching romantic adventure to love then check this one out. I think youâll enjoy it!!

Sweet, and romantic, and filled with hope and positivity

Admittedly, this isn't a book that would usually find its way onto my 'Read' list. No, I generally go for dark, gritty, BDSM, banned, non or dub-con...well, you get the idea. This story is about as far from any of that as possible. It's sweet, and romantic, and filled with hope and positivity.

How did something so far removed from my typical interest land on my iPad? Quiet simply, the author. I've been a fan of m/m for years...before the term 'm/m' even existed, I think. (I may be showing my age there a bit.

What a surprise!!

The blurb sucked me in and I am so glad it did. This was one thrilling ride that kept me gripped from start to finish.

The steam factor was off the charts. Without spoiling, I will say that the love felt between the two main characters was palpable and I just want more!!

The only thing that didn't make it a 5 star for me was the ending. I wanted more, I wanted to hear more about what was going to happen and how it all worked out but I was left hanging.

That being said, it's totally credit worthy. This will be one I come back to from time to time, I loved it so much.

Amy Landon's performance was perfection. She was the absolute right choice in narrators with her ability to portray emotion as well as slip into characters flawlessly. There were so many different male characters in this book and I was able to know who was speaking every time without it being said.

Emotional and surprising!

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!

Whoa. The beginning of this book blew my mind with what happened. It totally wrapped up those loose ends that had left me with questions at the end of Dirty.

I wasn't sure I would like Rhett. He was a bit of a douche in Book 1 and I just couldn't see him transitioning from that but boy did he surprise me. Actually both he and Darby surprised me with the way their characters evolved.

This book was way more emotional than Book 1 and that was what got me. I love when I can crack up laughing at one part, only to turn around and sob in the next.

I'm addicted to this series and just one-clicked Scandal after listening to the sneak peek at the end. I need Chloe's story. I need to know what happens with her story.

Again another beautifully written book about the Windy CIty Kirkpatrick families. Love Barbara Lohr's writing. Don't miss.

I LOVED THIS BOOK. This was such a sweet story but not gushy sweet. A couple that wants a baby so badly but cannot conceive goes through invitro and then adoption. This is hard on their marriage but they work to prevail through. During a snowy late December her family and friends are throwing them an adoption shower for the new baby. She barely gets there the day before to help. She has noticed symptoms of what she thinks is the flu but wants to go to the shower and be with her in-laws who love her like she was their own. Amanda is afraid the adoption will never happen. Conner wants to have faith. At Christmas the couples baby is born and little Sean is the blessing they have been waiting for. At the shower she runs into her brother in law who did the invitro and he notices her symptoms and asked her to come into the office. Saying gee, it has been a month since we did this. I think you are not sick but maybe expecting. A double blessing for this lovely family.

If you did not read Finding Southern comfort I would suggest doing so. It is not necessary to read this novella but is part of the Windy City Romance series and brings you more of the lovely Kirkpatrick family and how they love the ones their loved ones bring into the nest.

Written beautifully about a series subject for many couples with grace and tact.

Babies

In my old age I had decided not to ask couples about babies. This should be a decision they make for themselves. I do not need to know why and wherefores.

This story points out some of the heartbreak some couples go through trying to have a baby. To adopt or not again a very hard and personal decision.

I enjoyed reading this story with the hope there would be good news for our couple.

It also points out the benifits of a loving and supportive family.

Time well spent

Its about Family

This was a charming story. How can I say that when you think about all the trouble and pain that Amanda and Connor are going through? It must be the closeness of both families especially the Kirkpatrick one. I have read several books by this author about the Kirkpatrick clan and remember being introduced to Angie before. Angie is the mother of the baby that Connor and Amanda are adopting. The stresses of years of desiring a baby and continually being disappointed was well illustrated I thought. It was wearing both of them down and stressing their marriage as well.

Better Than Expected!

For a story under four hours, Hooked was well written, had a good pace and a captivating plot. Perfect for those who want a complete short story. This is the typical boy saves girl, they talk, go out, date, fall in love, but with a surprising twist I haven't seen in any other story. Zack's made bad choices and ended up spending a year in prison. He's out now and just wants to get his life back on track and not have any distractions. When he see's a women being attacked by two men in an alley, he steps in and stops them. They end up going out and she offers to let him train for a fight at the gym she manages. They're attracted, have good chemistry and everything is looking good until Zack feels betrayed by Mia. Overall, for a short story, this was decent. I would love to see it extended because the twist does bring some angst between the characters.

Logan McAllister did a really good job on the narration. I was able to easily distinguish between the characters.

Good story for a short book

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes it was a good story with Zach just getting out of jail and Mia just graduating college while trying to find her purpose in the world.

What three words best describe Logan McAllisters performance?

I enjoyed the performance and his voice seemed perfect for Zach.

I enjoyed the book and was surprised by the twist because I never even gave it much thought. How it worked out was slightly unbelievable but it is a HEA romance.

Interesting

Interesting story about 2 people that don't seem to make good decisions. And, yet, people you might know that you wonder why do they make one mistake after another and not learn? Yet, the story was engaging. I liked Zack. Mia, I didn't quite understand. And, watching the play between the characters was interesting.

"Open Up To Moving On"

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I love our hero, as he didn't give up, but this story is about getting over grieving, and not what I want in an audible story. Life is tough enough, and we all will have grieving big or little in our life.

I did purchase this entire series which was read by Ms Dawe, so I have the other 2 stories in this short format. I can only hope they are fun as in the longer stories in this series. Don't miss them.

not one that I would recommend unless you are looking for a self help type story, then this is it. See Jill Shalvis Accidentally on Purpose, read by the great Karen White.

What does Angela Dawe bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

I purchased this author due to Ms Dawe reading it. I buy lots of her work by an unknown author, as she brings the stories to life. I am one of her most devoted fans. See her in Nora Roberts the MacGregor series as her Scotts accent is the very best! None better than when she does the MacGregor himself!
