I feel this one. Let me tell you... healing the relationship to my body has been a JOURNEY. I always thought I had a great relationship to my body because I would eat pretty healthy and workout diligently until one day my friend Blake flat out asked me, "Do you love your body?" and I said, "Yeah, of course! I love that I take care of myself... I workout..."
"That's not love, those are things you do to take care of yourself but become conditional love if that is your way of determining if you love yourself."
Crap. He got me. It was the first time I realized that I was putting on my motivational war paint and heading into battle on the daily. I would have forever been in this intense battle if I never realized that I was in it. My journey to actually healing this relationship is a bit long for this newsletter.
