LOVE both of these stories and everything I have read from Karen Foley. This was the second time I read Flyboy and I enjoyed it as much the second time as I did the first.

About Flyboy: OMG!!! This has been one of the best romance books I have read!! I am in tears just writing this comment! Sedona and Angel' s story of trust and the love they have for each other was just touching. And the romantic encounters they had were hot, but with such feeling! I think everybody should have a love like this, this kind of love is real and unconditional.

A Kiss in the Dark was good too, but Flyboy has taken my breath away!!! Karen Foley words can not describe how great it was to read such a great story!! I just read the book again!!!!

Great end to a fun series

Winning Moves is the 3rd and final book in Lisa Renee Jones' Stepping Up Trilogy.

We meet our heroine at the beginning of the story, as Kat Moore arrives home in Las Vegas, after traveling on a dance tour, and swears to herself that she will give up traveling forever. Just when she is ready to leave the airport and head home, she gets a call from her agent about a gig right there in Las Vegas, allowing her to make some good money and stay home. The show is based on the popular America's Stepping Up Dance Reality show, but this one will be at a Vegas hotel.

Unbeknownst to Kat, as she arrives to meet the people behind this show, she sees our hero, and Kat's ex husband, Jason Alright. Jason is the director of the Vegas show, and also a judge on the tv show. He still loves Kat, and he wants to win her back, and does everything in his power to ensure that she will take the job as the show's choreographer.

Winning Moves is above all a wonderful romance between Kat and Jason, and has you rooting hard for them to find a way to make it work this time. There are some good side stories, such as Kat's retired parents, who are faced with bankruptcy. There is also the Dance show shenanigans that we got used to in the first two books, with the tough dance competition, as well as the sabotage that ensues, and Kat is right in the middle of it to help resolve any issues that threaten the show.

Kat is afraid to let herself commit to Jason again, as they both have their own careers, and each time they tried to get back together, there was always something pulling them apart. Jason is determined to prove to Kat that this time they will make this work, and stay together. The sexual tension between them is hot, and no matter what issues they may have had, they cannot keep their hands off of each other. Make no mistake, their chemistry together is steaming hot.

Winning Moves is a fun, enjoyable and very sexy read. I enjoyed this series very much. If you want something to relax and enjoy, with a great story and an awesome sexual couple, look no further then The Stepping Up Trilogy, as it is a perfect read.

Saved the best for last!

This book is the third of the Stepping Up trilogy by Lisa Renee Jones, and in my opinion, the best. I love reunited ex-lovers romance trope and this one was perfect.

Where has Erin McCarthy gone?

Was this book written by someone other than Erin McCarthy?? The first chapter or two was cute and was setting up to be a really great story. And then it juts went downhill...at least for me.

The dialogue between Diesel and Tuesday was just weird...it wasn't sexy...it was just weird. And the dialogue between Diesel and everyone else was weird...He had NO voice, or he said things that I didn't think a guy like him would say...and his guy friends sounded like girls!!

For someone who LOVED the whole series so far, I was SOOOOOO disappointed with Slow Ride. There was no REAL conflict....she drank too much (which made me like her less...she seemed like a real bitch) and he was just blah. And for me to have NO CONNECTION to either of the characters is huge...I love romance and can normally find the best in all books...but this one...I skimmed through the last 35% of the Kindle Book.

The best part of the book was seeing Ryder and Suzanne interact with their baby. They seemed really happy. And all the Evan/Kendall crap with Sara and the maybe, baby...was so unneccessary.

All in all...this book was a mumble/jumble of BLAH!!

I want Erin McCarthy back.....I hope she comes back before the release of Eve's book!!

#5 in the series

Contemporary romance with unprotected sex :( The hero & heroine know better, & actually realize after the first time they should have used a condom, but since the heroine is on the pill, they decide to forgo.

This is the 5th book in the series.

This is Tuesday's book & her hero is a new character to the series, Diesel (Daniel). Tuesday is really depressed by her father's death & that has increased her drinking. Diesel has had 3 family members, including his mother & younger brother, die within a year of each other. Plus, a really bad stock car accident that almost killed him, but left him maimed. His way of dealing is to withdraw.

They meet & sparks fly, but Diesel doesn't really think he's enough for Tuesday. He's a beta hero & she's a confident, outgoing girl.

This is a good story, but heavy on the drinking for Tuesday. Not my favorite in the series, yet, but definitely not the worst yet. I'd say in the middle of the pack.

Almost Really Good

Three and half stars, I tipped it to 4 for the Amazon rating. Fresh writing and perspective but I didn't like the female protagonist, Tuesday; she was selfish, sarcastic, coarse, and obnoxious. Sometimes that can work for a character but there has to be a reveal early in the book to show her likable or vulnerable side.

I just did not enjoy this

First let me say this was my first book by Ms. Dimon and the first I have heard narrated by Ms. Hughes. The narration by Ms. Hughes was such that I couldn't tell if my problems with the story were the actual story or the tone of the narration.

The narration sounded whiny, even when there would be no reason for whiny. The narration seemed to try to create angst where there should be no angst. Scenes that I think were put in for comedy relief, well, they just seemed painful.

This is a very short category book, and I think that may be part of my problem with the book. There are a lot of important issues in this book, homelessness, health care costs, foreclosures, small town pettiness, trust in relationships; but the length of the book necessitated these to be dealt with in a surface way, resulting in lots of holes in the narrative. So the heroine has been living in the wild for quite sometime (as implied by her saying she hasn't slept on a mattress in a very long time), yet there appears to be no physical sign of this. She seems well kempt, or at least nobody comments that she looks dissheveled. Nobody mentions body odor even after she gets up close and personal with the hero.

Honestly, if I were reading the book myself, putting my own "tone" on it, I might not have noticed. But I was irritated by the narration and when I get irrated by a book, whether I am reading or listening, I get nitpicky and petty. And as a further example of that, the cover of this book makes me a little cranky, too. Normally the covers matter not at all to me. But we have a book, a story about two people firmly in adulthood who work outside. What we have on the cover are two very pale people who look to be late teens, very early 20s at the most. Yeah, petty, I know. But it seems indicative of many problems. with the book.

While I will give Ms. Dimon another chance by reading another of her books, it will take lots of research and sampling before I give Ms.

Just OK

If I were you I would choose to spend my money on another selection more wisely than I did.The book wasn't bad enough to rate a one or two star review. I believe anyone's attempt at writing is an accomplishment no matter what the outcome and since the effort was made regardless of my feelings I gave it a three star rating. It's more than I could ever have accomplished so bravo for that.

The story was predictable to say the least So I believe I am giving nothing away since you have to be a simpleton not to guess what's going on to begin with.

The story itself:

Gray's problem and self esteme should have been dealt with in more depth I think it was glossed over even though it ends well.

I would have liked more in the story regarding Holly and Brandon's relationship it was a subject addressed and dropped.

I didn't like the way the children were exposed to their mothers death, nor did I like the fact that they suffered coping with it. This was a downer and soured me on the story from the get go. I tune in to fiction romance novels to lose myself in the pleasant subjects.

Sorry, it just didn't click with me and about halfway through I still expected it to pick up and when it didn't I started reading only the dialogue and gave up on everything else. I even skipped to the end to see how it ended knowing that I had it pegged my curiosity just got the best of me. I read it in one sitting not cause it was great but because I wanted to move on to the next book.

I feel bad being this tough on the book but I rely on reviews heavily for what I read so I'm brutily honest. I hope for the authors sake you all enjoy it and think I'm wrong. Enjoy

Definitely not the best Ms. Delinsky has to offer. I believe this book was originally published in 1987, and compared to her recent books, "Lake News" or "The Vineyard", "A Single Rose" is shallow, has no real story line or development of characters, and has the most lame dialogue I have ever read. This May Be An Old Barbara Delisnky Book But That DOESN'T make It A Bad Book! It's Good!

I listened to the audio cassette recording of Barbara Delinsky's book A Single Rose and I liked it. The characters Shaye and Noah were good and I liked the romance and the adventure on the boat.

A Single Rose - brilliant

This book is wonderful read again and again - the heroine has a strong willed temperament matched by the male arrogance, and the supporting characters are hilarious.

Strongly recommend this book - could not put it down.

My least favourite of the 9 books

I read this one last and out of order, I think I had 6th sense or something. I didn't like the book and the plot was full of holes. I found the h to be unsympathetic and I think it's a pity that this was the H's inferno mate.

The H has one amazing night with the h after they meet and are 'infernoed' (the author's term). From the start the h lies to the H and she sets up a meeting with him for the following day, knowing she's going overseas. She falls pregnant and the H doesn't manage to track her until right before she gives birth. She never contacts the H not even once, to let him know he's going to be a father. Her grandmother tells her that the H has married someone else. In this day and age?? She couldn't Google him to check?? He is after all one of the famous Dantes. She knows her grandmother hates the H's family, yet she still believes her. There is more that I didn't like about the book but I won't bother going into it here. If you are reading the series you'll probably want to read this one like I did but prepare to be disappointed.

Great Inferino!

I read this series along time ago, so when I seen the series again I just had to have it to read again. My regular books got ditched when I moved and that was one series in a bag of about 6 series all together that got throwed away. So I was not a happy camper, because some books you can read over and over several times and I keep. Oh! glad I found this set again.

I've read all the Dante's books to this point. I loved them all, with the exception of this one. I felt like I was trying to catch up throughout the book. Draco and Shayla meet, then it's several months later. It would have been nice to read what Draco and Shayla were doing for those months. A few things were mentioned, but it wasn't enough for me. I was confused through most of this book. I don't think I would recommend it but I will definitely recommend the series.

Dante's Marriage Pact

This book was an OK read to me. It seems there was a lot going on. First there's:

Shayla who wants to do three things before she turns 25: 1) pay her grandmother back for the money she spent for her college education, 2) to have the job of her dreams (which she already has lined up), and 3) have a night of passion; which she does with none other than Draco Dante who she meets while attending a Dante's reception.

Then there's Draco Dante who was always told by his family of the inferno legend, but he wasn't sure he believed this legend to be true, that is until he met Shayla.

Finally, there is Shayla's grandmother who is so filled with hate for the Dante's (I won't spoil why she dislikes them so) that she keeps Shayla and Dante apart for 9 months.

A super great story

Sophie the maid and her baby Brady. Jeb the grouchy, rich rancher who had to get a maid from California because no woman wanted to work for him. Along comes Sophie and sparks fly, not always pleasant ones because she calls him on his crap. He doesn't want a child around and told her she'll be fired in three weeks. What develops is an interesting discovery of each other. My only disappointment is that the ending left a lot hanging in the air, a epilogue would have tied things together neatly. Still a great story I could not put down.

Good romance.

It's been awhile since I read a good romance and this was just the kind of story I love. The H and h were both likable, although at first I wasn't sure about Jeb, he ended up being very sweet.

Maid in Montana (Harlequin Romance)

This was the first book I read by Susan Meier. It kept my interest from the beginning to the end. It was a very nice romantic book to read but I found it kind of sad. I would read another book by this author.

Adorable Story

I liked it, it was different H/h don't have sex as in most other romance novels. They are highly attracted to eachother but their past and upbringing get in the way of furthering their relationship. I was saddened for the H and wanted the ending to work out differently but understood why the author chose to end it as she did. Don't worry it was a happy ending. It was free so I enjoyed it even more.
