Gloria Umanah created a movement when she founded Hope Booth – shifting from dynamic event planning, to providing a beacon of hope to those facing loneliness during the 2020 pandemic.
The Hope Booth remodels old telephone booths and provides individuals an innovative, interactive, and immersive experience to encounter hope, affirm their dignity, and serve as a connection point to finding local help and support for all of humanity; from the individual living on the streets to the CEO of a fortune 500.
In this episode of Missions to Movements, Gloria shares this incredible journey of how she generated buzzworthy success with a line of people waiting to experience the Hope Booth at South by Southwest (SXSW).
You’ll also hear all about Hope Booth's physical installation and the global movement she’s creating through their monthly giving program. The Ponce City Market installation in Atlanta is just the beginning. The first installation has had more than 41,000 people experience the Hope Booth, with a 77% completion rate!
When it comes to supporting mental health, action speaks louder than words. Gloria emphasizes the impact of community involvement, whether through getting access to decision-makers, donations, or amplifying their digital voice.
As a monthly supporter of the Hope Booth myself, I invite you to not just absorb the beautiful stories and strategies shared today, but to join us in their mission of hope, solidarity, and connection.
