Simon Ward, Be Battle Ready - The podcast for strength, resilience, and longevity

How to be a High Performance Human * Simon Ward

Listen Later

This week’s podcast is another solo cast as I share my thoughts on how to move towards becoming a High Performance Human.
After years of trying to help individuals achieve their triathlon goals, I’m now aiming to help a wider group of individuals upgrade their entire human performance. I’m using the skills and experiences from the last 25 years to focus on sleep, recovery, nutrition, mobility/strength, and mindset to promote better health and longevity and in doing so contribute to better athletic performance if that’s what you want to achieve. Equally, you may just wish to have a really nice balanced life with abundant health and energy living to a ripe old age and enjoying life for as much of that time as you can.
In this episode I share insight on the following:
Why your body is like a high performance Ferrari
Health-span versus life-span
The importance of mindfulness
How precious time is, and how to use yours more efficiently
Sleep - the bedrock for everything and how to improve yours
Some simple and very effective tips on nutrition
Gut health and its influence on your human performance
Holistic exercise guidance (not what you might expect for a triathlon coach)
How you can work to live
Building better relationships and mental health
