It’s easy to give when we know our gift will be appreciated. But what about when it’s rejected—or worse—thrown back at us? In this evening's prayer, Rachael Adams, host of The Love Offering Podcast, reflects on how a moment like that can sting deeply, making us question if giving is worth it at all. Yet Scripture shows us that gratitude isn’t the measure of the gift—obedience is.
In Luke 17, Jesus healed ten lepers, but only one came back to thank Him. Still, He healed them all. His generosity wasn’t dependent on their response; it was rooted in who He is. Likewise, our acts of kindness become sacred when done in Jesus’ name, regardless of the reaction we receive.
The man at the pizza shop may not have accepted the gift, but God accepted the heart behind it. Every unseen act, every quiet word of encouragement, every unnoticed sacrifice matters to Him. When we give, we reflect the One who gives without condition, and that makes every offering significant—no matter the outcome.
This Evening Verse: Colossians 3:16-17 (ESV)
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

🙏 Your Nightly Prayer
Lord,
Thank You for being the giver of every good and perfect gift. When disappointment or rejection tempts me to close my hands, remind me that my kindness is for You, not for applause. Help me to give with gratitude, humility, and joy—reflecting Your heart to others. Teach me to trust that no act done in Your name is wasted.
Amen.
