🌾 Evening Meditation
When life won’t slow down, when the schedule is overflowing, when even a few quiet minutes with God seem out of reach—is peace still possible? Michelle Treacy reflects on David’s words in Psalm 4, spoken while he fled from his own son, Absalom. Even in betrayal, exile, and heartbreak, David found peace—not in his circumstances, but in his confidence that God would hear him.
“God doesn’t need a Pinterest-ready moment to hear us.”
Michelle encourages us to embrace this truth: God meets us in the chaos—during dishes, commutes, parenting, and deadlines. When you feel spiritually dry or emotionally overwhelmed, you are not alone. Like David, you can find peace in the middle of your hardest moments—not because everything’s calm, but because God is near.
No matter how pulled or pressed you feel, the invitation remains open to rest in the God who makes us dwell in safety.
🙏 Your Evening Prayer
Father,
In the chaos and fullness of life, when I feel overrun by schedules and the weight of responsibility, help me find my peace in You. Remind me, Holy Spirit, that I can pray as I go, turning each ordinary moment into a sacred one. Thank You that my rest doesn’t depend on how perfectly I perform, but on how fully I trust You. Speak to me—even in the smallest moments—and teach me how to lie down in peace, knowing You are my safety.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
🌙 Three Things to Meditate Upon
Remember God’s mercy is new every morning.
If you missed time with Him today, don’t dwell in guilt. His grace meets you again tomorrow.
Turn every task into a holy moment.
Whether you’re washing dishes or walking into a meeting, God is present. Speak to Him in the ordinary.
Even the shortest prayer matters.
Psalm 5:3 says, “In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice…” Even a single whispered prayer as you rise is heard by the King of Heaven.
