This is a totally bewitching tale in which young readers will learn about fairy-tale witches...

The moon was full and puffy clouds could still be seen in the dark of night. Wait! Who was that warty witch whizzing through the sky on her broomstick? It was Hex, of course, a fairy-tale witch with "magical powers." Her big green hooked nose, green complexion, hair on her chinny chin chin, and that ugly wart wouldn't help her win any beauty contests.

All Hex had to do was flick that magic wand and "Poof! [she's] turned you into a toad." Of course witches like Hex are just pretend, but way cool (and sometimes kinda scary). They do have that "creepy green skin and make evil plans." There are fairy-tale witches all around the world and you'll be able to check them out. You'll learn about what they look like, how they travel, what they like to eat (children, what else?), and more!

This is a totally bewitching tale in which young readers will enjoy learning about fairy-tale witches. This is a fun, pensive book that will encourage young children to learn about and respect other religions ...

David was learning a lot about baseball from his friend Zach who was a thirteen-year-old boy. Zach had invited him to his synagogue, but David was worried and talked to his Dad. âWhat if I donât understand things? What if I do something wrong?â His Dad reassured him that everything would go well and he talked to him about being respectful. Zach was going to have a bar mitzvah and it was a very important birthday for him. It was really interesting for David to learn about a kippah, Hebrew, the prayers and the singing, but it also was a lot of fun!

On Sunday when David and his Dad went to their church, Grace Lutheran Church, he learned a bit more about religion. David also went to a Catholic church with his Mom and learned that they were âdifferent kinds of Christian churches.â David had all kinds of questions for his father and he tried to answer them. When they were volunteering at a place that served food to those in need, he asked Sophia about her church. Sophia said that âher family isnât a part of a religion.â David began to be interested in other religions and took a closer look at others around him. He learned about Muslims, Buddhism, Christianity, and some of their celebrations. Do you know about other religions?

This is a fun, pensive book that will encourage young children to learn about and respect other religions. David is aware of other religions, but doesnât know much about them. He becomes curious when attending the synagogue where Zach has his bar mitzvah.
