Interviewing is always pretty tough but then they have to go and ask questions like "What makes you happy?". There is not technically right or wrong way to answer open ended questions like this. You could say just about anything and be "correct" BUT you need to approach these questions in the right way.

The right approach is two steps:

1. Show what kind of a human you are.
2. Make the argument that you're the *right" human for the opportunity.

Welcome to the How to Get an Analytics Job channel. Discover how you fit into the analytics marketplace, what skills you should build, and how to land your analytics dream job. In this podcast episode John David and Dr. Hall talk through the real value of getting a Tableau Certification. Dr. Hall holds a PhD in Economics and talks through economic signal theory and how it applies to getting a certification. Essentially, getting a certification can signal that you are a strong candidate. The harder it is to ascertain the certification, the stronger signal that certification sends. For example, a "certificate of completion" when you finish up a LinkedIn course does not send nearly as strong of a signal as passing a certification exam. With an exam there are stakes and no guarantee that you will pass.
